Were the same ones used on other GM models? I wonder if any of the other repro places have done these? As far as I know, No and No. There are a bunch of people on this board that have been scrapping cars for years, like Hector and Bruno. All you need to do is put up a "parts wanted" post and get them. Side by side of both types. These are both originals. Funny thing is on the later type that is reproduced is the peg on the bottom is in the wrong place. Originals were centered. You can see where it broke off. The new ones because of this places cable in slightly wrong position.
Here is the style that I stock (and CARS) I wonder if the 72 Cars only utilized 1 clamp because they switched to side post? .
Todd, See posts 6 and 8. The one you stock was used for the last 1/3rd of the 71 model year thru to the end of the 72 model year. Duane
All the 72 cars I see in the junkyards have two. Strangely I have seen some all white that never appeared to get painted black.
I think the 69/70 clips angled are harder to find than the 2 hole plug wire clips. I have been on the lookout for a correct set and have not seen them. I may have a set of NOS 71 style but would have to look.
Yes, just was not high enough up the priority list lately. I remembered when I assembled the battery cables a month ago and just used the reproduction ones and noted it on my assembly manual and truthfully forgot about it until I seen post.
