    An early heads up!

We just announced the date - Sunday August 16th, 2009

And a new location - Pearson Air Museum, Vancouver WA

This is a great location, close to downtown Vancouver and all registered cars get family admission to the museum included free.

    More info later.

We will let anyone in who has a Buick! Even you guys from up North! We usually have a few Canadians show up - so it would be great if more came down. It is not that far - remember you are driving Buicks.

We could park your '68 next to my '68.

Hope you will come down and bring some of your buddies.:beers2:

I think that if they are going to have a limit of 300 vehicles, they should start with a pre-computer years only. Maybe 1972 and older. I just walk right on by when I go to a auto/classic car show and see 1978 Cadillacs or 1973 Ford Fairlanes or even a Buick GN. Sorry, just need to show that real classic cars need to show up instead of filling up spaces with 1998 Riviera's and such.

We are talking about racing its open to all race cars including pros, NOT classic cars, I am sure you will see alot of classic cars racing & trying to be in the top 16.

I think there might be some confusion Iroczlover and I got off on a little bit of a side conversation about pinks all out tv show at pacific raceways on the post about the portland car show which is the same weekend.Im sure dukec can answer any questions about the Portland car show as this is his post.

Gee talk about getting off track - no pun intended!!

No racing at the Portland BCA show - also no limit on number of cars.

All Buicks welcome - All years welcome.

If there is enough interest we may have special parking for Buick street rods and we of course will have special parking for '68 GS converts.:beer

Maybe we could have a special parking spot for V8 Buick cars??

This will be a great show at a great new venue - Pearson Air Museum in Vancouver, WA. 50 miles closer to Seattle - so you don't have to drive as far.

    Hope to see everyone there!

Let me know if you have questions. I will post an registration form as soon as it is out.

    Duke,

That is a great venue for a show! Thanks for snagging it. I used to be part of the Fort Vancouver Pipe Band and we used to practice in the hangar every Thursday night. Cool old buildings, cool old planes, cool old trees...it's just a cool spot! And the best part, it's only fifteen minutes from my house in Orchards! We'll see you guys there...and if a major miracle occurs I might even arrive by Buick (but let's not get ahead of ourselves).

Why don't you come and hang out at some of the chapter meetings? I'd love to have another local "stepchild" present. We have some really fun things planned for the year.:TU:

We would like to see both of you guys at any and all of our events.

Bret - you should try to make it to the Feb event. Watch for the newsletter in the next couple of days.

Steve - pm me your email addy & I will get you added to our newsletter list. I hope you can come to some of our events. Is it cold in DH? The way it's been down here for the last month, I think I'm up there. Cold & snowy - keep it in AK.

Being a California boy, something I've always wondered ...how and why do people live in minus 36 degeees below zero weather?
