I met up with Cyberbuick and GSXMEN this morning at the Pomona swap meet and went Buick hunting.
Thanx you guys for heading out. :TU:
Pretty slim pickings were found in the parts department. :(
For some reason, that place has been taken over lately by the bow tie boys.
We did see some nice cars, however.
    Here's just a few.

    Too many Chevy parts!

I think that all the Buick parts vendors must have taken the week-end off, or they were simply over run by the bowtie brigade.
The ony buick part that I saw was a lone GS350 air cleaner housing

    real slim pickens

Thanks for showin us 'round even if the only true buick part found was that aircleaner. Would have been nice if the guy with the distrib actually knew what it was. Wonder if he'd of taken 10 for it.

They did have some nice cars tho, even if 99.9% of everything was 'the other kind'.

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

Big thumbs up for Robert and Scott!!!:TU: :TU: :TU: Thanks Guys!:bglasses:

I had quite an interesting weekend!! Left Albany, NY at 3:40pm on Sat. Arrived in LA at 8pm. Got up to my sister Rachel's at about 9pm(yeah...she's got a lead foot too!). Gave Scott a call to see if he was still interested in going to Pomona - he was!! He was advised by Robert to get there early - no big deal right? Well...apparently, early meant leaving at 2-3AM!!! I managed to get a whopping 2-2.5hrs. sleep before getting up (for the second time) to get ready, before Scott picked me up. We left about 3am to meet up with Robert at a convenience store. Then, off we went to the LA Co. Fairgrounds for the Pomona event!

Anyone that has ever been to Pomona, can attest to the fact that a 'guide' is pretty much mandatory!! Sure glad Robert knew his way around!! It would have been EASY to get lost inside there!:eek2:

We ended up seeing just about all our legs and feet would put up with!! And that was before alot of people had waken up!!:Brow: We walked around for hours in the dark...you know...'early bird gets the worm' kind of thing! Not to mention, there was a fog so heavy, you could barely see anything very far away! I don't think we saw the sky until about 7am or so!:Dou: We finally gave up about 9:30am or so, and called it a day!

Oddly enough, I didn't get to sleep until about 9:30pm at my other sister Lisa's place (well...where she's house sitting, anyways). I'm staying in a house that's been appraised at between $850k- $1.2Mil. I don't expect too many of you to feel sorry for me!!:Brow:  Not sure how long that will last though...looks like the loan for this house will be closed in the next 2 weeks! Guess I'd better not get too used to things here!!

Hey, I'm just glad everyone was game at 2am! :TU:

Without a guide, I think one could meander him/herself out before nightfall...:puzzled:

I feel for ya Scott, having to stay up until 9pm.. I got about an hour sleep (12:30-1:30am), when I finally dragged myself home at 1pm, I crashed for 22hrs. Everyone around I think brought out a mirror to check.. :gt:

I won't feel sorry for ya, chillin in a million buck house, tho I would if I managed to find said house.. :spank:

Again, :TU: to Scott & Robert for bein game and puttin up with my crappy la drivin.. lol

Scott, what have I created! Now you're the terror of all CA events!

It's good meating up with people isn't it? How is it that we are all very similar. Get up early to get the good stuff. Just like us when we where all walked out at the Hot Rod Re-union by lunch time.

Crappy LA driving? :eek2:. I'm not sure if I'd call weaving in amongst the 18 wheelers and between several different lanes of heavy traffic at 85-95 mph crappy. I'd call it highly skilled...nay...precision driving. I would not be at all surprised if you got it up on 2 (side) wheels while trying to squeeze into that last gap on the far lane! Nothin' wrong with your driving Scott.

So, where to next? Now that we've woken that "event" giant in you?

W:eek2: W what was the asking price and details on the 65 wagon. Good thing it's on the other coast or I would be very tempted to start waving money in that persons face.
    Perfect parts chaser/tow vehicle/family cruiser.
