I can honestly say I can appreciate any GS 65 to 74. I dont feel the same about any of the other A bodies. But I am a little biased. 70 all the way. :grin:
70 GS hands down. It has the cleanest lines. The 71 is a close 2nd and isnt bad, but the hood needs the chrome nose piece that the 70 has.
I am a 72 guy, had one as a teenager. This is my all time best looking GS. 2nd best is 70 Apollo GSX.
I think the 70 has the best front grill and bumper, and just the best all looking of all. 66 and 67 you just have to love the recess back windows and side pillars. 67 front end is just so sweet looking and would wonder how it would look with a 66 rear, which I think looks better. Wondering how a 71 N25 bumper would look on a 70? but we are blessed that all GS's are all just such a awesome looking car.
I have had a 67 2 Dr Skylark and 2 71 GS 455's, and now own a 67 GS400. Never used to consider the 68-69 years all that attractive but they are growing on me. If the car has a 4 speed, it instantly moves up the ladder ! 1st 1967's 2nd 1970's 3rd 1971's
A bit of a necro post but been wanting to ask this.. Does anyone have the ability to some type of Photo Magic?? or the real deal if someone has done it I would love to see a 66 GS with a 67 GS front end.. and a 70 GS with a 72 GS N-25 bumper. I'm thinking they would look good but I know Buick's design division was fantastic and as an example changed the rear of the 67 GS because the new front was alot more sporty and aggressive and just didn't work well with 66 rear. Closest iv'e seen is the black 66 GS with twin turbo Nailhead and in the early stages of adding a 67 skylark grill and nose..
