Never mind horsepower ratings and drivetrains. Just the appearance of the cars. Which body/interiors do you all like best. Yeah, there have been similar poles in the past, but hp always becomes a factor.:3gears:

I like the 71 the best. I had a choice of 2 GS (70,71) cars to buy and I chose the 71 because of the grill and rear N-25 bumper. I don't like the rubber on the 72 bumpers, or the way the hood extends down. Don't get me wrong, they all look good. I even like the post 72's.

I am going out on a limb (healthy, strong one LOL) and saying the majority picks the 1970.

My favorite is the 67 GS Convertible obviously because that is what I have.

GM two best years are and 1967 and 1970 in the A Body cars.

I think 70 was the best year for GM overall. The styling was great and with the combination of lifting the 400 ci rule for A bodies made for 450+ ci motors which peaked in horsepower ratings with the high compression engines final season.

67 was a great year. The turbo 400 was introduced to the GS along with the new 400/455 design motor not to mention great body lines.

    Just my opinion.

Most people will pick the 70 GS model. I love all the 70 to 72"s, but my alltime favorite is Brad"s 71 GSX. Just a perfect car that I will always drool over!!!!!:beer

For stand alone looks I have always thought the 68-69 bodies are unique. The other years look to much like their corporate brother Chevelle to me. :Smarty:

68-69 body styles with their sweep spear were the only ones that did not closely match the body lines of the other a-bodies.

    JMHO! :TU:

Yes, the 68/69 bodies are unique.

At first i really didn't like them, but after you really look one over, the designers really did a nice job of setting them apart from the rest of the GM A body line.

Yes I agree. Good Call Buick Buddy :beer

    Thanks

BigBlock68 Love that old car smell.

No beating a '68/69 if you want to stand out of a some sort of A-body event. :TU: Love those massive rear quarters too. But the hood is what I really like.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking the other years. I love all the GS's. :TU: Just standing back and honestly looking at the cars the 68-69 stand out by themselves. :3gears:

65GS then 69GS and then the 71GS,never had a 69 GS ! :Brow: YET !! When I was sixteen the 65 1/2 GS made its appearance at the local buick dealer. Finally buick got into the musclecar market ! and with one of the best body styles for 65. The rear tailight setup is a classic ! the 69 was the perfection of the body style for the 68/69s love the look of the gs grille for 69. then like poods I too like the 71 gs grille better than the 70 or 72 ! when I went looking for a 70-71-72 body style that was the deciding factor in my search wahlah ! ! my 71 GSX clone. FrankinBuick!:
    Taillights of a '65
Roofline and rear window of a '66-67
    Grille from a '70
Interior is a difficult decision (none of them are great), but I'll go with the chrome dash and door panels of the '67.
Engine....the looks of a dual-quad nailhead and the power of a Stage one.

If you view a 70, 71 and a 72 from the side in an available color for all three years. then you could not tell them aprt.

Not a easy one for me have owning all the body styles in the past (I'm old). I think you can't beat the beganing! The 65 Gran Sport will always be a winner in my book. And I really have a love for them all!!!! AL.
