Vote for what time of the year you would prefer a Texas Buick Event. Spring March - May Summer June - August Fall Sept. - Nov.
My suggestion would be fall. Spring time we have to much unstable weather, but that can happen anytime o No: The other suggestion would be pick a time when school is out. This might give people with families a better chance to attend. Me! I'm game for almost anytime. But would like to stay away from mid to late summer. To hot!
I also think late summer/fall would be great. One weather is cooling off for good air. Another reason for later would allow for people to make time to get to the track. and of course getting everything together. I have noticed the weather is kinda unperdictable toward the middle of october so maybe we should consider this also.
Depending on where it is and when I might try to come down to it. If its in the sept oct time zone. Dont forget that race in Noble OK in October too its a buick VS ford thing. It would be good to see you texas racers there too.:Brow:
Good point mike!, The noble race is at the end of october maybe we need to shift our dates till spring/summer as we do not want to interfere with that race. This would allow us for 2 semi local races per year. thanks mike!
Well with all the stuff going on in the Dallas area, I would suggest maybe early Sept? I know it's getting a little close to Noble (Oct 25th) but it's really to hot in August, July is the 100th BD for Buick In Flint, June is the Hot Rod Power Tour also the Dallas club has two car shows to put on that month, May is the GS Nats. I know there is always going to be something going somewhere no matter what date we pick, we just need to stay away from thr bigger events. You can check out the events section at www.lspbc.org and see what I mean.
David I will sit down and figure tenative dates months of major events are out. I. E. GS Nats. Got it what about a GS national prep test and tune event. Just some Ideas. :Brow: Please add your thoughts as well david what do you think would be a good time.
Phil and all, depending on the dates also, i could consider a trip down too. i kinda have the "luxury(?)" of a place to stay around a hour and a half from the track, but would have to bring the "war dept." for a visit to the outlaws, lol. Hey Phil , if i sneak down without the wife knowing could i hide out at your place ? that way there would be no proof that i was there...........:Brow: i 'll watch this a little closer now maybe............. later.................
Didn't respond to the poll because there isn't an "anytime" option! However, if Sept/Oct might get Mike down here, that's a plus...
Dave, If you come to texas you have a place although There might be controversy with that KDC sticker you have on your truck:stmad:
I'm not sure so far if we have a big enough commitment?? If we do just a get-together and crash there regular program on an Saturday I guess it really doesn't matter if we get 30 cars or an 100 cars, but if we rent the track we will need those 100 or so cars to show up! Either way I'm in! I have left 2 messages for Todd at the track with no response. o No: Let me throw this out there if we do just a get-together is the Motorplex in Ennis an option??
AAAWWWWWW Mike, i thought you were over that sickness ?????? what happened ....... flashback ?:gt: :gt: later..........................
David my thoughts were to make it central that way the drive for everyone is similar. However i am not apposed to the ennis option either as i am centrally located. But I also was thinking of the guys in Houston. I am up for anything.
Not to be chauvanisitc, but I think we should stay with the Seguin idea, because Dallas-area folks have had Lone Star chapter events to participate in for years, but we Houston/San Antonio/ Austin folks haven't had as much in our neighborhood.
I agree, we should keep this one in seguin. As far as a time, I won't be much help but I am pretty open to anything. As long as the weather's good, I'll be there! I only have a few conflicting dates, other than those I'm up for anything. So i'm not much help here, I'll just kinda go with the flow on this one.
