My Sister drove up from Mobile Bay to take Mama to see my nephew graduate from High School.
Sister will bring Mama back home on Thursday.
Mama will move to her new place on May 27 or May 28.

I found a place and I'll sign a lease to begin on June 1

At this time last month, I was full of anxiety and worry.
Now, I'm hopeful and looking forward to moving.

God has given me peace of mind when I think of moving now.
Before, I had worry and anxiety.
Thanks for y'all's prayers, thoughts and kind words.

The photo is at my nephew's graduation with Mom and my nephew's parents

So where did you end up leasing, near Morgan Road where you were originally looking?

Are you going to Gardendale Saturday?

I had three places (potential) places near Morgan road
    But, they didn't pan out.
I got an apt behind Shelby hospital.

I've got to drive for a wedding Saturday.
126 mile round trip in a 1930 Model 'A' Ford
I'll be coming through Gardendale. But, I'm afraid it will too late. I'll likely be late getting home

Except for when I was at school at Auburn
I've lived and worked from in Jefferson County.
Since February, I've been work based in Shelby county.
And now I'll be living in Shelby county, too.

    Mama moved today.
I called her when I got through at work. She's happy to be in her new place.

That's great. I'll bet she is making a lot of new friends.

Some people thing that praying for someone is "the least you can do".

It's the MOST you can do. Taking request to the highest court possible.

God bless you and your family.

She is. I'm glad Mama has someone to talk to during the day. One of her new neighbors showed Mama around today. And she discovered that among her neighbors are a couple that are fellow church members. So, they'll be riding to church together. My brother will be driving them.
    Thanks Yarr

Mama is quickly making new friends. Not being confined by stairs at her new place. She's going visiting to her new friends.
Wednesday, my car club (Dixie Vintage) had a car show at Mom's complex ( I couldn't attend, due to work)
Mama proudly wore here Buick Club of America golf shirt , as she perused the cars

It seems that Mama is happily turning a new page in her life and adapting very well. What a blessing!

How are you doing with all of the change, are you comfortable?

Too many folks, as they get older, look at 'downsizing' or moving to senior living as an ending. Your Mama, with her positive attitude, looks at it as a new beginning. New friends, new challenges and many new adventures. If more senior people had her attitude, more of them would live longer and enjoy life. Hug that sweet 'young lady' for me.

I like my new home , thanks for asking.
    A nice, understanding landlady.
I've got the Roadmaster in an enclosed garage, rather than a car port, so that's better.
I'm eight miles from work, rather than ten miles .
And I'm just minutes from Mom's , work or home.

Moving things out of the storage, I found all the trophies the Roadmaster won, from 1975 through 1979 when she left the show circuit.
I remembered each show that each trophy represented. the Roadmaster never failed to place, taking first many times. And often winning longest distance driven
    Those were fun times

/\/\/\ ..........And there are many more fun times ahead! You are driving and enjoying the Roadmaster. Plus, you have a gig where you get to cruise some rides many of us can only hope to.

Yeah it's fun to drive those old cars.
On a rare Saturday night off,
I drove the Roadmaster to my new home town's cruise in.
That was fun. It's a cool night, the Roadmaster didn't heat up.. that's more fun !

On the way home in the Roadmaster, I stopped off at Mama's
We had popcorn while we watched a 1942 Sherlock Holmes movie (Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce)[IMG]
