Anyone have any reasonably fast tried and tested cures? I'm throwing away $40 a visit co-pay for Physical therapy and I'd rather throw the $$$ into my new motor as Buick money! I have The Walking Shoe Co. & Orthaheel orthotics in 7 differant prs of various shoes, bought a TENS/EMS unit for home, At P.T. visits I do full range of stretching exercises, along with my own gym exercises 3x a week. Then, Ultrasound and Iontophoresis delivery of Dexamethasone sodium phosphate. It's an anti inflammatory steroid cortizone. It's a negatively charged drug that gets absorbed through the skin by use of an Accudose machine instead of an injection. This Planters chit is uncomfortable and painful!
Freeze a 16 oz water bottle and roll it under your foot for 10-15 minutes. That's what my son had to do. Mikey
I've been icing and rolling a tennis/racket ball under arch. I'll add in the frozen water bottle treatment. Maybe I should just cut my foot off at the ankle?
I read this in the paper the other day? Can't hurt to try it https://www.peoplespharmacy.com/2017/09/18/will-grape-juice-with-certo-make-feet-feel-better/
I have to get a $300 pair of Orthotics each year. Thank god for insurance. A coworker of mine puts her foot in a bucket of ice each night when hers flares up. Sounds like you have a bad case.
It was bad a few weeks this past summer, then fine. Now it reared it's ugly head again while at the gym running.
I had it, then a friend told me about an insert called heel that pain. His wife had Planter Fasciitis, she used these heel seats and the pain never returned. I was skeptical but for $30 and the pain I was in I gave it a shot. It took a little getting used to but about a month later the pain was gone. That was 3 years ago and I still use them. I couldn't believe it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Heel-That-...174069&hash=item3af9cd977d:g:YNwAAOSwevdaKOb-
This is what I did , along with the stretching etc. the doc had me doing.... Good luck, it's a bitch.....Jim
I to had it and the only thing that’s works are the soft boot that you wear at night and it stretches the tendon. I no longer have the issue
Only thing worked for me was d-i-s-a-b-i-l-i-t-y. I dealt with it so many years that walking funny ate my knees up. Still have issues like walking on hot 1/4" ball bearings... ws
I saw those contraptions at Meijers, I haven't tried that yet but I may have too. Was worried about restless sleep. Guess I could take an ambient for that.
Plantar Fasciitis, it can be very painful and frustrating, I had it many years ago when I worked in a machine shop with a concrete floor and wearing work boots. I went to Dr. and he did whatever he did, kinda forgot, been a long time ago, All I know is he taped my arch up A LOT. Got tired of going with no improvement, went out a got me some cheap, like $30, Reebok running shoes with good arch support, starting wearing them and my problem were all gone, could not believe it was that easy.
I bought Walk-Fits off ebay, plus 4 other brands. Walking co.,(3 styles) Orthaheel, Dr Scholls custom fits, & Cheapee Meijers inserts. I like the full length style as they support the whole footbed. Need to have shoes with removable insoles to fit them in comfortably. Seems the 1/2 or 3/4 length ones need to be placed under the original insole.
This the boot I got at the podiatrist office. It keep your foot straight. It takes a little while getting use to. You can get them on line to just make sure there soft sided and no hard plastic
