   Does the Pitman Arm on a 70 GS 455 ever need to be replaced? There really doesn't appear to be anything that can wear out and they are not available at any parts stores, so I'm thinking most are re-used and not replaced?

   No, the centerlink wears out. Unless it is damaged somehow, there is no reason to replace it.
