Yes, this is what I wanted to say as well. People take their precious time to help other members and the info is high quality!
I hope that sometime I can contribute to this as well. As bynow it's mostly other members helping ME out. I really appreciate that!

Thanks to everyone contributing on this thread. I will send the guy pics and hope he has something. Meanwhile I'm going to sonic check my two cylinder blocks

Issue is with pulleys especially. They may look the same but if they don’t have the part number you need you are in trouble. Not sure why he can’t look? They usually are staring you right in the face. Don’t overlook this site. Someone here will have exactly what you need.

If we'd live onthe same continent this board would be my first place to look for parts. But everything that weights something is very expensive to ship to europe.
I bought a lot of cool stuff from members already. Had I known the site earlier I'd been looking for a car here as well!

I might search a pulley on the board though :)

Switzerland. Where you find more GS's, 442's and GTO's than Chevelles :)

I have to look around more. I think I have an NOS 71 alt bracket that's been sitting on my desk here for a year! It has the GM sticker on it, but no number stamped on it and the sticker is half torn off. I have brackets out in the garage, too.

Thanks for the link. I am currently looking with steller if he can set me up with an alternator and probably a pulley too.
I think I still have the correct lower alternator bracket. It is a steel one. I will check numbers tomorrow evening.

Frank you don't happen to have the upper AC bracket and probably a dual groove water pump pulley? All for 71.

It's amaziing how many changes they made. One could think 67 to 72 is all the same...but no..
