My car runs 11's before the nitrous is even turned on. Did I ever claim that my car was a real Stage 2? I think the car looks more menacing with the Stage 2 emblems on the fenders and air cleaner. I don't think 11 seconds on 91 octane gas on the motor on a 4 1/2 year old motor is too shabby.
Nope, not shabby at all! At one time I had thought about making a set of custom fender emblems that would go under the "GS", something like "turbo455". I still may one day. I'm interested in seeing your setup when you get it done, I plan to play with Buicks for a long time and will probably try the centrifigal path one day. There seems to be a lot of interest in them.
Thanks Alan! Like was mentioned by a friend of mine earlier, ATI has been seriously lagging in the shipping of my F1R blower. I don't know if anyone else has dealt with them, but the customer service is horrible. I have been waiting for a month and still no blower. I even prepaid through an authorized ATI dealer. I cancelled the order through my dealer because of the lies that ATI was feeding the dealer. Low and behold, I received a call from ATI because the president of the company found out that a $4,000 dollar sale was lost. I was then given all kinds of excuses on why the blower did not ship. If ATI ever comes through, my blower will be installed within a few days. Like I mentioned before, a new crank pulley will be fabricated allowing for the power steering to still be utilized, but not the AC. It will be passenger side mounted and will have a reinforcement brace going from the end of the bracket to the cylinder head. To come to this conclusion, I took a look at my friends kit on his big block pontiac. Again, this should not be too difficult of an install and the only modification might have to be done to possibly the fan shroud because of possible clearance problems.
Blownsmobile Sharp set up......I used to have an 84 Cutlass with a 403 in it was /or should I say did have everything ready to go to tubb it and eventually put a Hampton blower kit on it.... Sniff Sniff But it got slod for me to get my 66 Impala SS 396 4-spd Oh well, now I go this BiG Block Buick Regal now:laugh: I did want you to know I did see a Blown Olds Cutlass simular to yours testing the same day at the Midwest Buick Challange yesterday. I was a tube chassis car, Rosewood Red,running a alcohol Fuel Injected , small block Olds eng. Ran 9's and 8's... not shabby, not streetable ....but not shabby just the same. He came with a guy who runs a simular set up, although it's a Big Block 455 , alcohol, blown and injected running in a Buick Skyhawk ( monza styled body).. he did around 2 warm up passes and broke his dampner..... BUMMMER:ball: Myself eventually will get around to supercharging this BBR, Rooots or other wise....but it will be fun.. when done.:TU:

Doesn't Jim Rodgers sell Stage 2 emblems? Does that make everybody that buys his product a liar? Obviously I know that I do not have half the parts that make a Stage 2. If my initial comments about getting brackets done bothers you then sorry, but I know it doesn't take that long to make them. If you want to get in a pissing contest and attack my car, you should watch the videos in the bottom of the link I attached. Watch the car run and look at the workmanship in everything right down to the shifter and ask yourself if I am a bullshitter or not.
Oh I forgot to add that just because the blower is designated with an "R" doesn't mean that all of them are reverse rotation. By the way the "R" stands for renegade, not reverse rotation. Hope this clears up the confusion. I received this info from the sales manager at ATI.
Dave, I expected the same thing. When I see stage2 I expect to see Stage2 heads / headers. I don't care if it's a factory Stage2 or not, but I figure the goods will be there. I think this is what Kerry was getting at as well. If you look at the chart Kerry pointed you to, there is a "reverse rotation" tab. The F-1R is listed as a blower that has "Reverse" rotation capabilities.
The initial plan was for the car to be converted to TA Stage 2 heads and a 494" stroker motor. He decided to go a different direction with the car and do something that had not been done before. If it makes you feel better I guess he could take off the emblems and repaint the fenders just so you approve. I admit that I don't come to this board to often, or see everything that goes on here, but for you to be the moderator and act like a dick is just not professional or good for this forum. I'll keep the pictures and videos of the completed car to myself. :af:
WOW you CA guys are touchy! I don't think Kerry was acting rude in any way. He was just making a point. Hardly any reason to be called a "DICK" over. Kerry is absolutly on of the nicest guys you will run into. Personaly if you guys can't come on the board and have a better atitude than you do, please stay away. Both of you have posted things that myself personally can live without reading in the buick comumity. I don't see were either of you are trying to help. Flaming respected guys on our boards doesn't do anyone good. Why don't we just try to wipe the slate clean and start over. From here on out, if you can't post anything positive, don't post at all (agreed)?
Speaking of blowers on Buicks........ I THINK this is a Buick V6 (It was in with all my other Buick pictures) with a 4-71 on top.
Before we wipe the slate clean why don't we stop stereotyping people based on where they are from. I didn't come on the board and say that you probably have seven wives because you are from Utah and it is legal there, agreed?
