Just wanted to post this. One of the nicest 69's I have had the chance to see.

Car has won numerous awards including GOLD at the GSCA, Best paint in multi make shows.

This 1969 GS350 fits that model in every way. As a multi AACA Senior and Junior Award winner along with a 3-page list of other show winnings, this car is quite possibly the nicest GS350 on the planet.

This GS350 had always been garage kept throughout its life. It had been a one owner car, owned by a husband and wife until 2010. The original owners treated this car to a full frame-off restoration in 1997. The car still looks like new today.

Starting in September of 1969, the original owners bought themselves this beautiful GS350 at a cost of $4799.84 with a down payment of $899.94 at North Side Buick in Pennsylvania. From that day forward, the TLC (tender loving care) given to this GS350 has been remarkable. This car has been kept in tip-top condition, recording every single transaction and event this car had seen in its past and present. From awards, maintenance and everything in between, this GS comes complete with documentation, records and receipts like we’ve never seen before. Three large enclosed bins full of paperwork, trophies and other detailed information fill the entire trunk and then some.

The car itself is nearly flawless. The body is perfectly straight and all original and has undergone a high end repaint in its original color of Lime Green (GM code 59). All chrome, trim and the vinyl top are all like new. The interior looks as if it were just installed. Every feature and option works perfectly including the ice cold air conditioning. Options include power windows, power steering, power brakes, power seats, AM-FM stereo with 8-track and rear speaker, speed alert, Rallye Control Package, Convenience Group, tilt wheel, rear window defroster, the very desirable under dash tissue box holder, Red Line tires & more. The detailed photos clearly show the high level of restoration this car has undergone and the originality this car has retained through the years.

Under the hood is Buicks small block 350ci 280hp 4-barrel engine. We are quite certain that the entire engine compartment has retained all of its original components. The actual mileage on this 50 year old classic is just under 37000. This s basically a new car with an average of 750 miles per year since new!

Is that the correct mileage (37000)? It may be 137000. I remember talking with Phil and this car was their daily driver for many years and actually underwent a quite extensive restoration with minor accident and rust repair. They also drove it to all of the shows. Its not a survivor but it is a really nice car.

I don't remember those pin stripes being on it when Phil owned it.

I made a repro window sticker for him back in 2001 and it was the first one (besides mine) that I ever made for someone.

    Phil was a great guy.

Yes it has 13700 miles. Completely original interior including carpet. I helped Phil a lot with the details and some parts. Cool history with this car. Phil had a log book with every thing done to the car including gas stops.
    Phil was a Great friend.

Unfortunately it is being mis-represented by saying 37K original miles. Still a very nice car but not a 37K mile survivor which would make the value a little higher in my book. With Phil's record keeping it should not be hard to prove its actual mileage.

I think his car was the first 1969 GS350 to win Gold at the BPG or GSCA? show when it was in Columbus. Was the GSCA show in Columbus one year?

Yes it was. Probably the only 69 GS350 that ever will.
Even I could not find anything when Phil was showing it.
The car was DRIVEN to all the shows.

Having been a close and personal friend of Phil and Pat's and working on and driving the car on many occasions, I can attest as well to just how perfect this car was, I can't attest to it after Phil's passing and subsequent owners or care thereafter but it appears to still have been superb. Never forget putting the door edge guards on it the day before it leaving for a big national meet, Phil was standing over me and I could hear him breathing heavy, I was starting to sweat and finally turned around told him to go in the house, he was making me so nervous I could hardly work and was afraid I was going to mess up. As noted it was their daily driver until one unfortunate day Pat got home from grocery shopping and was putting it in the garage, she got out and decided she was not ahead far enough and climbed back in and when she started it and put it in gear (she was not fully in the car) it lurched forward and hit the front of the garage wall and damaged the front end. They bought a new car at that point a Regal and the GS sat under tarp in the driveway for a good while before they decided to do a complete restoration on it. It never sat still, and it was always kept flawless. Mike noted the pinstripes on the car as not remembering them, it definitely had the side ones but I don't believe it had the ones on the trunk and I also think it was totally restriped because I don't remember them being that pronounced/heavy. He always traveled with a driver set of foams and put a good set on for show, he also on longer trips would change out the headlight buckets for the show ones once they got there. I traveled thousands of miles over the years either with it in front of me or in my rear view mirror. Phil and Pat were the most beautiful people ever, I still chat with Pat via phone on occasion. Sure miss Phil.

I sent the seller a note with the new info. Let's see if he adds it to the description. I say no. Tom

I'll tell you something about this car, every time we judged it, it drove me crazy. It is so correct it basically looked like it just came off the showroom floor.

Even though I own one now, the 69 cars are not my favorite body style, I also don't really care for green cars, and I really only like Big Blocks,
so for this car to drive me crazy is really saying something.

I think you mean 137,000 miles, not 13,700 miles, right Dave?

Yes It was 137,000 miles. The odometer was never reset. Phil kept a book with all of the miles and fuel stops for the car since new.
His car was bought new at North side Buick in Pittsburgh. Came with hubcaps and Phil negotiated to have the sport wheels installed from another 69 Skylark on the lot. For years he thought the Red caps were correct.
I believe the car was used by GM for one of their salaried employees. There was not a window sticker for the car when purchased, and there were some miles on it too.

Is that the Columbus show you drove all night in Big Red to get too? I thought that was a GSCA show since Richard L was displaying his restored GS he called"Medium Blue". Duane was giving a clinic on restoration? This was a long time ago and I may have lost those brain cells and not remembering correctly.

This is the option load from the window sticker I made for Phil back in 2005. Like Dave said, it came from the factory with Deluxe Wheel Covers.

The Nats were held in Columbus in the mid ‘90s...apparently the result of less than friendly terms from the owners in BG.

Always thought it odd that as heavily optioned the car was that it had deluxe wheel covers originally. He never hid the fact that it came that way either, always told people he had them swapped in the original purchase negotiations

Bacchus Brothers that did the restoration do phenomenal work and to see their shop you would never guess that quality of restoration came out of it. I started using them exclusively after seeing the end results in Phil’s car. They are super nice guys to deal with
