    Hi Nate

Im not personally familiar with pertronix, but there has been plenty of discussion about them on the boards here and in other forum headings.

If you look at the top right of this page, there will be a SEARCH button second from the right in blue.

If you click on that and then on the left enter "PERTRONIX" It will return to you a list of all threads containing that word.

Grab some of your fav. beverage.....you're gonna get a lot of replies to that search.

    Hope this helps

    NO PROBLEMS

I have had it in both my 71 455 conv. and my 70 stage 1 gsx for about 2-3 yrs now with no problems of any kind. I did not notice any difference in performance but have eliminated the points issue without any down side. Seems to be fine. I would do it if I were you.

I have the Ignitor 2 setup with their wires and coil. I haven't had any trouble with it. No complaints here.

I had the LSC ignitor but got tired of waiting 5-10 seconds to start the car, even ran 12v to it direct with no help, so I went back to the original version and no problems. I DID have their wires but 2 of them went bad and the guy that I bought them from(A member who sells them) had me return them to get replaced with their "LIFETIME" guarantee, WELL its been since April and numerous emails and I have yet to receive the replacement wires. Maybe that is what is meant by lifetime guarantee--You wait a lifetime to get!!!:Dou: :Do No:

If you absolutely, positively, cant live without it, have to have the Ignitor, use the first series one and rebuild the distributor. Later series II and LSC units aren't worth the time of day.

Use the ballast resistor or resistor wire with the first series, and a dead stock ignition coil, no fancy stuff, good set of magnetic suppression spiral core wires, 7 or 8mm, and leave the plug gaps at the stock .035, no larger.

Lots of people will say different, but that's the way to do it, if you really want an Ignitor.
