Cecil County East Coast Buick Regionals this weekend,My 70 GS ran a 11.51 @ 115+MPH. My quickest times with the car so far. The track was great and all who attended were very pleased with the weather and the track, with the exception of a few poor souls who broke,my brother Greg included, who grenaded his rear.Actually it was my nephew Greg who was doin his burn-out when it decided to let go.
My wife Mary and I left this morning at about 5:30 and didn;t get a chance to say good-bye to everybody, but we were trying to beat the rain that we eventually got caught in anyway. It's about a 200 mile drive for us back to Long-Island and we made it in about 3 hrs.The ole Buick never missed a beat and did'nt use a drop of oil all weekend.
I am very pleased with my cars performance and couldn't be happier, what a great week-end.
We are already lookin forward to next years event. For those who have never been, this,is one very good race that shouldn't be missed!!

    Steve,
Hey whats up? I haven't seen you all summer.
Yeah the hood is on,and it only took me all summer to work out all the "little things" to make everything work.
Cecil was the pay-off for me.
For now,all I'm doing over the winter is cosmetics, paint the hood,re-chrome the rear bumper, get my drivers side bucket seat redone and finally re-paint the trunk.I have reached my Goal,as far as how fast she runs. I'm sure I will be playing with something else[speed wise] by next spring,I don't want to take away her "street" manners cause you know I like my week-end rush. Hope to see you soon
    Kenny
    Harold and Mark,Thanks guys:TU: :TU:

    Bill,
    Timing is set at 36*.
With my MSD Digital6 ignition I have 2* retard at 4400 RPM. I never touched it after my first run.
There still could be more in it [some fine tuning] but after my brother blew his rear, and a few other guys broke [Bruno,John] I figured why push it.
Remember I dont have a roll bar and this is my street car. After 4 runs on Fri. I took off the slicks and just enjoyed the rest of the weekend.:TU:
