I highly recommend grabbing one of these if you plan on dropping your gas tank. The original literally came off in pieces and this fits like a glove.
Does the 72 Custom take the top pad and / or straps pads? if yes how I do I get in contact with Patton Glade (if he makes both and I need both)?
Can't say for sure, but it probably had a pad. Absolutely no cars had strap insulation, that's a gimmick. Patton's a member here, pglade is his ID.
I have purchased these pads from Patton for years. I believe the pads stopped at the end of the 1970 production year. I do not remember seeing them on my 71 GSX or the 71 Stage 1 that I had. Duane
I have always seen these on '70 Buick A-body cars and never on '71 or '72. Not sure about other years.
