Parting out a rough '69 skylark convertible & '71 Skylark coupe.

Hi all,
New to this site, but not to parting out cars. I specialize in the '70-'72 Cutlass, 442, Vista, etc.. Hence the name oldspackrat. Don't know a lot about Buicks, but will get answers for you quickly. I sell a lot on classicoldsmobile.com & realoldspower.com & have sold almost 2000 items on Feebay. Good feedback everywhere.

I occasionally buy other makes & this is what I have right now. A '69 skylark convertible. I believe it WAS a 350 2 bbl car, but the engine is gone. Drum brakes all there, all underhood AC parts there, black bench seat & top of rear seat there, outer windshield trim is there & nice. No inner trim, no door or rear panels from this car, but I do have other convertible parts. Windshield is good as is the frame around it except for being a bit crusty at the bottom of the glass. Fenders are junk, hood is decent? doors might be usable?, trunk lid might be salvagable. Trunk has a bunch of parts in it, not sure what all they are, but I do see a set of Buick 455 exhaust manifolds that look pretty nice. The conv. top frame, cylinders, & motor are all gone. Someone cut the wires to the top switch, to the motor, & to the rear seat courtesy lights. Idiots! Dash was destroyed getting the switch out I assume. Again, idiots! Car frame looks to be heavily undercoated & might be nice still?

Also have a pretty complete '71 Skylark coupe. It is pretty complete except for front seats. It also has AC, I think, & a 350 4bbl engine. It has drums, black interior & some body rust. I only have 1 pix of the '71, but can get pix of anything you might need.
I'm located in Indianapolis & can ship about anything, or you're welcome to pick up parts here.

Scott, looks like the 69 has radiator saddle cross braces. I am lookong for a set and the small frame brackets on the frame. If you could look and post back, thanks Bill.

 

What condition is the front passenger side inner fender in ? send pictures of

 

what shape is the dash and door panels in, other interior parts?

Big B, Take a look at the pictures also. I'll have to check the area a little more. The battery tray is badly rusted but I'm not sure how the inner fender is below it.

I assume you're talking about the '71 Skylark? I'll get some more pictures of it in a few days.

I've been looking for a three spoke steering wheel in '71 Sandalwood for a long time. Pretty rare piece in that colour but should you stumble across one I'd certainly be very interested. GM # 6.153 9752708 was the original P/N.

 

Scott picture #2 of the first set and #15 of the second set show them they are the cross braces behind the front bumper the hook to the front frame horns with two little brackets and the rods cross and bolt to the radiator support on each side. That is what I am looking for, thanks Bill.

The passenger side inner fender is a bit rusty at the front & someone has made a "door" on the inside. I assume to change the blower motor at some point. I doubt if you would want it.

Hi Scott: For the 71' Skylark. I need the two rear sail panels if they are good. Need the ones without the dome lights in them. Color does not matter.

I bought some stuff from Scott, and all went well, good stuff, and boxed well...i thought he was my secret over on the oldsmobile board, and he found his way over here...id use him again...

 

Does the 69 'lark have the harness for the wiper motor? I need that for my 68.

BWINN & rgilkeson The drivers fender looks like it's been patched at the lower rear. Doesn't look to bad, but I don't know how bad it really is without taking it off the car. Pass. fender is a bit rusty at same place & has a small dent. I've got pictures of the car now, but they are a little dark. Scott, does the '71 have the X-braces in front of the radiator like the '69 did?
