Here's What's Left Of The 73 Electra Beast Ok car has been hauled away to the crusher.I saved the hood,grilles,front clip.I have just put a "boat load" of misc odds & ends on e-bay,so you guys might want to check that out,everything is cheap. There was no rear defogger. Open to any offers. Jeff

say phil, what type of aluminum did you use to make your bumper fillers? did you also make the one that surrounds the license plate? i could use any info/measurements to try and make a set for my 75 le sabre.
Thanks Rob for posting the KPH speedo's picture. I don't understand why it's not graduated in miles like my former 76 Electra's speedo and all the 76 speedos I saw. It gives me hope to find one someday!
To make them, I used parts from 77" plates that were used on an old Harris offset printing press. The reason I used this is because it was free but I could have used aluminium that is used for window capping. I also used short fiber fiberglass (the fibers are invisible, it's similar to plastic but a bit stronger) to make it flatter. The result isn't perfect but it's not too bad considering the time and money I spent on them! The 75-76 fillers are different and are probably a bit harder to make because the tail lights do not extend all the way to the license plate (see pic). There was almost nothing of the old fillers left so I did everything including the part below the license plate.
