These are available from several retailers. Mine had TPP molded into it so it was made by The Parts Place. It looks beautiful with real chrome plating over copper base plating. When attempting to install it was when the trouble began. It would not lock into the holes in the shifter bars. I compared it to an original and found it was much thicker pretty much everywhere. I had to use a die grinder to thin down the side pieces as well as the inside of the corner radii, and the block right in the center where TPP was cast in. You will also need to reshape the 2 lock tabs as they will not drop very far into the hole in the shifter bars. This of course removes the plating but its on the inside where it will not be seen. Just hoping the chrome does not start peeling. In all a 1 minute job took 1 hour and compromised the plating. If you can find NOS get it. There was also someone making this in billet aluminum that may be a good option. If anyone needs a better description of where/how to modify it I will try to post a photo soon.
Mike Garrison makes it in aluminum, the trigger piece as well. http://mrbuick.com/reproductionparts.html
