... the last part I need to buy that makes my Regal "street-legal" to actually drive (June 22, 2010), is the Griffin Dominator Aluminum Radiator 28"-core width for @ $379.

God's Will, by late July, my Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal will be COMPLETED ...
till I upgrade the GN rear AFTER breaking in the 10:2-compression(?) D&S 1973 Buick 455.:beers2:

Oh boy. Getting parts for your ride is like Christmas. Why doesn't the UPS guy drive a sled with reindeer?

... now THAT would be DEVASTATING!
It took years of my saving/sacrificing to have gotten where I am now with putting it all together.

Heck; for around $6,500 parts & labor for a "zero-mile" Stage-1 1987 Buick Regal that seats 5-adults comfortably with A/C, heat, full-power sands seats, tilt wheel, stock-looking dash and interior, face-off Pioneer AM/FM CD/MP3 player, that will run with/out-run a $86,00 DODGE VIPER in the quarter ... ain't bad at all.

In closing (lol), UPS sucks big-time! I request Fed-Ex (actually called my cell phone while I was at work stating he will wait for me to get home for 30-mins tops). I have watched sitting from my front window UPS slow down near my house ... THEN ACCELERATE past it with my running out the house ... down the block to stop him/get my package ... quite a few times.lol

    SO-FAR-SO-GOOD. :3gears:

  5. Running

    Running Midwest Buick Mafia

I bought the universal tank from Jegs : 26 x 19" .. 3" thick tanks by the tape. I built a 2" deep shroud that covers the whole thing and used a cheap NAPA 16" elect fan and it keeps my dyno'd 650 hp '84 t-type cool in any weather. But I do have the mez elec water pump.... Just a thought. The fan was $60, the rad was $160 and the shroud was a scrap alum sign with hardware store alum angle iron.

I also have a vid of my car on the msd 7al3 two step... using trans brake.

... TA's Buick 455 "short-nose" water pump. I noticed in the pic Dan sent me that I needed one.:TU: I ordered it this morning from Tim, who stated TA has not had 1 return/complaint regarding the WP (no pic ... even online) lol.

    ... I HONESTLY THOUGHT IT WAS OVER;

I need to buy a NEW flex-plate for my NEW "455." That's $99 from TA Performance.

I STILL need to buy the Griffin Dominator aluminum radiator ($380) ... annnnd I just discovered today that the 73' Buick 455 alternator that came with my motor, has destroyed bearings. I "shopped around" and discovered that a 100-amp stock-replacement 1973 Buick 455 alternator cost $94.95 at your local auto parts store w/$25 core return ... while Summit's CHROME 100-amp alternator costs $109 ... AND I get to keep my "original" stock '73 core.

Until I get the Buick V6 alternator-A/C compressor & brackets ... this is the train I am riding. And looking at the weather ... in August of this year, I won't NEED any A/C in the car till SUMMER of 2011!!!
