    mynameismatt "what is that thing?"

    Hey guys,

I'm interested in painting the plastic door pieces in my 72 sabre. The photo is what it looks like now. Does anyone know what color this is "Offically?" An exact paint match would be nice, but I'm not sure where to begin looking. Will SEM aerosols work on the plastic? I would think aerosol would be easier and look decent if I took my time. Any info or opinions are appreciated :TU:

The color is called Sandalwood. The door panels are Light Sandalwood and the dash and other dark parts are called Dark Sandalwood. The Fisher Body name for the color is Light Sandalwood for the light areas (Fisher code #3989) and the Dark areas are Fisher code #4110 (Dark Beige).

Don't ask me how they got "beige" out of that color...looks kinda like green to me.

    SEM vinyl coat

I do restorations and interiors on boats and cars and have used SEM products. For the best results, I buy the paint in pint cans and spray it with a small HVLP gun. Spray cans work OK on flat smooth surfaces but with the HVLP gun , I can vary the amount and pattern to cover ridges an recess. PM me or call 507-280-0083. Mike
