I have some fiberglass bumper as part of the diet for me and the car this winter..... would like to find some paint thst appears similar to chrome. I know it ever be exactly the same, but something that shines somewhat. I hate the look of body painted bumpers.

The painter on Counting Cars TV show uses some stuff that looks just like chrome. Apparently they use it a lot. I think they said it was 2grand for the chemicals to make a mixed gallon. There was a company that was advertising a chrome like paint in a body shop magazine I was looking at about a year ago, but, when I called their toll free number the guy told me to discuss it with him via email. I told him to pound sand.
Try doing an internet search - you will probably find a shop that does the process.

For 2gs I bet I can have it actually dipped for alot less. They chrome over plastic parts all the time, thete is all knds of plastic grill, handles, etc that are either dipped in or something that look very very similar to chrome.

I am interested as well, I just painted my fibreglass bumpers with plastic dip alum colour paint and it looks OK but obviously I would prefer a more "chrome" finish..

There's a guy around here who does "Spectra Chrome" in literally dozens of colors. The only problem I've heard about is that it doesn't like UV rays, and eventually fades out if left out in the sun long enough. You can find out more here:

That alsacorp stuff is pretty nice. There are a few other places that can actually chrome plastic & fiberglass. One place NOT to go is SNS in Oklahoma. They butchered mine. They actually plated it,but they didn't do anything that I specifically asked to do,and it arrived with a bunch of spider cracks and areas that were not smoothed or prepped properly. $700.00 for junk.

I'd find a place that does vinyl wrap near you. It actually does a really good job of resembling chrome, is affordable to do, and lasts a long time. I've seen whole cars done in it.
