Are the door panels the same for manual and power windows? I would think not with the hole being to large on manual roll up windows. I ask because when I look for door panels on line they never ask that question. Do you have to get an unassembled panels and cut it out yourself? I have a very nice original set of front and rear 1971 GS panels but they have holes for manual cranks and my car has 72 panels on it now with power window set up.
Can I salvage my 71 panels to fit p/w's?

I could be mistaken, but I think the hole is in the same spot,so all you have to do is enlarge the non power window hole and all is fine. But I would ask a guy in the buss to do it for me.

The power window door panels are the "same" as the manual window door panels in the sense that you use the manual panels to "convert" to power window type panels. The power window switches are positioned in the same location as the holes for the window crank - but this process does require you to "square the hole" by cutting the ***backer board (only***, not the vinyl. there are retainer clips which provide a nice template for this "trimming" of the holes and the retainer clips fasten to the door panel, then the switches pop into the metal retainer clips. The driver's door panel requires the largest modification and I would STRONGLY suggest you look at other cars to confirm where the hole is to be cut for the 4-gang master switch (as it is 4X wider than the other door panels with one switch each.

Power door locks are a bit different and I have seen some repops have a traced line on the inside of the panel for the power door lock switches (and the driver's door power window switch trimming). The metal shell of the inside door has a rectangle slot cut out where the backside of the power door lock fits when the door panel is mounted.
