    sbbuick My driving scares people!

I am concerned, and do what is reasonable. I drive the car an average of once a week and put $10.00 of gas in it every 2 weeks. That is not much CO2, now is it?

My daily driver gets nearly 30 MPG highway!
I live in a small, realitively energy efficient home.

Conclusion: I do what I can to create as little CO2 as possible. Any real large scale change needs to come from the Government. This is not happening.

Ken,You need to read Romans chapter 9 but here are some of the key verses: Rom.9:13) As it is written,Jacob have I loved,But Esua have I hated. vs15) For he saith to Moses,I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL HAVE MERCY,AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I WILL HAVE COMPASSION. vs16) So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. These verses ought to make everyone relize that salavation is of the Lord, that it is by his grace which is undeserved favor to sinners that deserve only his punshment not his love.Still want to question God?Read the whole chapter but take a good look at verse 22)What if God,willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:23)And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory Ken,I hope you can see in these verses that just as God chose a particular People to save by his grace he also has chosen vessels of wrath fitted for DESTRUCTION [in hell even if you,i,or anyone else likes it or not because HE IS GOD] I do not question every single thing God does but I do know this;the things that he does will one day be made known to all because it says in verse 22 he will make his power known,we will see his wrath upon the wicked,we will see his mercy upon the his choosen people [who deserved his wrath as well] and all will see the only one who did not deserve to suffer,Jesus Christ, and what he did to redeem and atone for his peoples sins. And as for global warming being the end of the world in one word,YES.But not as the enviroment crowd thinks of global warming see 2Peter3:10)But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night:in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with feverent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Ken read all of both these chapters I have mentioned because you may see yourself mentioned in them in Romans 9:19-20 and 2Peter3:3. I do not say that to be haughty or look down on you but rather to warn and hope that you may begin to fear God which is the beginning of knowledge.

Yes. I still want to question god.
I want god to knock on my door, with a few bottles of good belgian ale, and a pile of tom waits songs that have not been written yet( he or she is god, it can do that).
I want to grapple with god, maybe try to hit a flying armbar, or a good double leg takedown. i bet god's robes would make it easy to get a choke in.
the earth will be here for millions more years till the sun turns to a red giant and swallows the planet.
global warming aint gonna destroy the planet, neither will nukes or a comet, we may not be around, but the earth will still spin and life will poke its head out of the ashes once again.

I think a lot of people group Christians as all thinking the same way when in reality their are a lot of gray areas that we discuss and have different conclusions. One example is the whole "what would Jesus drive" campaign. Christians got a lot of backlash for that and many I know drive SUV's for a variety of reasons.

The same goes with the war in Iraq. I support Bush for his support of my faith, but I am skeptical of sending our troops into a lengthy engagement where many will die. I think some non-Christians will look at Bush and say "Bush represents a Christian perspective and I don't like his policies therefore I don't like Christians" That is the unfortunate side of him proclaiming his faith as a president.

Tom - One thing that you don't need to be skeptical about, is that you can be sure that President Bush has prayed very hard about this matter!! So do those that he has surrounded himself with!!

Thankfully, we have an administration that has joined the President in daily prayer - whether with him or by themselves. He has said how deeply touched he is, to hear how many folks are praying for him! :TU:

As for his faith, we are called to BOLDLY proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! There is no downside to that!! Even when the enemy attacks!!

    James 1

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
    2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

We need to lead by example and be a Light in an otherwise dark world!:TU:
