This is usual weekend driver. All original 84 D150 Ram, my grandpa bought new and used it to tow his sailboat. Needs a ton of maintenance but a blast to drive.
project I've been working on, want to get it solidly in the 12's, run some nostalgia race's:Brow:.....;dohh, first time out, 6 rounds, run 12.60.... gonna turn it up some when I replace the cheezy rear 4 link bars.
Now that is sweet! Love the Imperial taillamps! And I like the fact you put color on it instead of flat black, which I feel is getting way overdone.
2012 Audi S5. My daily driver. Jump starting my 62 Skylark convertible. They have a lot more in common than it might appear. Both have relatively small displacement all-aluminum V8 engines with manual transmissions. Ok so the Audi has DOHC, twice the number of valves, and double the horsepower of the Buick but it kind of makes you wonder what would have happened if Buick had stuck with the aluminum engines for the long haul.
Posting pics of my 71 Opel GT. This car was recently restored. Lots of work done, but I will just hit on the high points. The engine was rebuilt to a 2 L configuration (bored .080 over) with high compression pistons, a big valve head, a combo cam, a big weber carb, ported intake barrels, ceramic header, custom exhaust, upgraded 105 amp GM alternator & high torque starter. The car received a Getrag 5 speed overdrive transmission with .80 overdrive and S10 clutch. What a huge difference an extra gear makes on the open road. It has a 2 inch drop with new suspension components. Interior is all pretty much redone. The seats were reupholstered, carpet replaced, headliner replaced, dash pad professionally restored, Retro sound radio installed, instruments recalibrated & artwork redone. The car was stripped to bare metal, the engine bay was sandblasted. The car needed no metal work; the restoration shop said the car had a great body. The car was painted metallic silver & clear coated. The bumpers were triple plated and straightened where necessary. The wheels are STR racing 503 wheels; they are 15X7.5 ET+10MM gloss black. Tires are 205/50R-15 Yokohama S.drive. Widest 205s I could find, they are within a hair of scraping the front inner fender.
