hey I'm up for the PDF of it. I also have a cable modem so time isnt a problem I can also burn a few cd's of it too if anyone is intrested. *hmmm.... lets see.... where do i have those aol mailers.* Nate
Just my personal experience with Year One...... Ordered and paid for a catalog, it showed up in the mail a week or so later. Some months later...... I phoned the toll free number late one Thursday night and after a good BS session with the guy on the phone, who seemed knowledgeable and professional, I ordered some parts. ( body mount repair panels for the trunk and a couple of engine decals). Was given a price which included shipping etc. and the price of the catalog was taken off the total. The following Wednesday morning the parts arrived at my door all the way up here in the great white north. Good quality and exactly what had been ordered, and for the quoted price ( which actually was a couple of dollars less than the price in the catalog). Bottom line...... Service- excellent Quality- appears very good Price - reasonable Shipping and "Handling"- seems a little on the high side Will I buy from Year One again? Definitely. Now if I could just do something about the exchange rate on the Canadian dollar and the high duties and taxes I pay on importing parts to Canada. Any part I buy from the U.S. will be double the price by the time I get it.
OK here is 'da deal. You can download the PDF Catalog from my home machine.....I will leave it on tonight for anyone who might want to grab the file. The FTP will allow 4 connections at a time. Please use a "real" ftp client ........ Internet Exploder is a bad choice for FTP'ing. FTP to 207.191.211.66 The Login is: v8buick The password is: opg This looks like the only way I can share it for now without splitting the file into multi-parts. :Comp:
its currently working for me. its currently working here even with IE type in ftp://207.191.211.66 then it will ask for a login name and password. next go into the public folder. its right there. nate
DOH man.. this is the catalog I have one of 2 my buddy in florida got. I was hoping it be the 2003 cat.
Is this still working??? I tried with both Netscape and IE and get a message saying the login was rejected. I didn't get a chance to even enter an ID and password, got that message just accessing the site. Anyone currently having luck? o No:
Re: Is this still working??? I am not sure if Nutscrape browser supports passworded FTP sessions and IE only does on version 6 and above I think. You can always go to a command prompt (DOS Window) and type "FTP" then login that way..... the type "cd public" and then "get Original%20Parts%20Group.pdf" That's all we had to use when I started using the internet 12 or so years ago.
i did it I'm using IE 5.5 and i did it. just typed in ftp:// instead and it poped up a thing asking for a username and password. put them in and BAM it worked. nate
IE 5.0 should do it too. I usedto ftp to my school's server using it. I just had to use the prompt from the File Menu at the top.
FTP Freeware I ended up going here: http://download.com.com/3000-2160-1572132.html?tag=lst-0-1 and downloaded some FTP freeware. I couldn't get IE 5.5 or "Nutscrape" (like that one) to work right. I also tried using the command prompt and didn't get that to work either. That might've been me though, as I had never done that method. ou: Anyway, a quick software download and install and I was good to go!
