I am installing the Stewart Warner electrical gauges in my car. When I went to install the new oil pressure sender, it just so slightly hits the block when I try to thread into the adapter. Anyone else have this issues and or have any suggestions?

Seems like I need to move it further away from the block, but am concerned with performance issues?

    Thank you!!!

The original senders had a 45 degree adapter between the sender + block for clearance. Am extension or an adapter won't affect the reading.

O'Reilly's or the like will have them in the back , possibly on the little spin racks by the bolts too
