Oil leaks & crankcase evacuation system

    I was having a lot of problems with oil leaks. Does not help that the Poston pan is really hard to seal up. As soon as I hit 5psi would leak like a sieve. Anyway installed Summits crankcase evac system ($40) and it was like magic. 99% better

    Is this the type that draws from the header collectors? Great for open headers, otherwise it's a muffler-killer.

    Yes they are welded into the collector. Would agree but my mufflers are basically an empty can with a few pieces of metal in them. Not a lot to hurt there. I have heard that Volvo uses an electric pump evac system on some cars. May try to find one of those cheap. But this works great and the price cannot be beat.

    Very nice. I agree that the chambered mufflers should be a non-issue, especially if they have the typical tiny moisture drain holes. Years ago I tried the same setup on a car with packed mufflers and it destroyed them due to oil contamination.
