Just for my own knowledge, are these worth a crap on a 455? I know Offy stuff is hit and miss depending on what engine you have.
they sure look cool with 2 little 500 cfm carbs on top. even saw one once but not on a buick that had cross ram adapters that looked super sweet even if it didnt do much. the cross ram bolted to the carb pads and were interchangeable between motor families from the way I under stood it.
Mike at amp done ne one that made 580 pretty conservative build otherwise, seems like he said something to the effect that doesn't help power but didn't cost too awful much either. Runners are too short imo and would require some good rpm to real work it out
cutting it in half, remove an inch, reassemble and it fits a 350. but you have to make a valley plate.
I tried a dual quad set up when I was bracket racing with 2 550 cfm Holleys, it was always a little slower a couple 10ths than the B4B with a 1000 cfm Thermo-Quad. To be fair I didn't play around much with the jetting on the Holleys. To add to the story my ex stole the manifold out of my shop space and sold it. This happened in Tacoma Wa. in the late 80. Bob H.
I have one if your interested . Its at my other garage and it would be a couple of weeks before I get there . located in Eastern PA .
