Thanks Tom... still just trying to figger out the hard power drum brake pedal thing. Gonna try Mikes trouble shooting method today. I know with the factory power brakes how they should feel, and had that feeling with one of the new MC's installed but the bastard leaked. Now all the other pedals are hard. If I need to stop hard enough, I can mash down on the stopper pedal and squeel the rear tires. I dont get it... Bill

Took both hot rods to a local Culvers car show last night. I spent 3 hours "washing" the 64 and Pat drove the BAD LAD in last years dust and won 2nd place! A free dinner for 2 at culvers; thats cool!

Last nights show was for muskrats with chinabillet, T-birds and Gougers. Still some neat old Dorfs and even a 47 Frazer rat rod. Gonna go burn some gas today. Ordered my plate for the 64 today; BADLASS. She the BAD LAD's older sister by 8 LOL. ws

Cruisin' in the Star Ship?? My pal had one; a 390 with a 3 on the tree. That was about 1972. It was GIGANTIC. Black with red guts.

Picked up a nice goodie today for 20.00. The guy also gifted me his entire window sweep set from a 64 chevelle restoration. The rubber was still supple with a chrome reveal to boot! ws

I'm kinda partial to the `64 Galaxie myself because I also had one through my high school years. Different years, of course (`69-`72). Mine was an XL, 2dr. hdtp, medium blue metallic with a white vinyl top and white bucket seat interior. Originally an automatic but I added a 4 speed. I'd like to have another one.

That surprised Pat when I told her my allegiance couldve been swayed when we were looking for projects...Ford had some fun stuff with an easy to get to starter solenoid LOL. However ONLY one dodge ever, well maybe 2; a 68 440 x 4 Charger or a hemi dart. I dont do mopars. Bill

Just in from a 50 mile cross county garage sale trip in the BADLASS. Took an evening stroll down by Lake Michigan for some photo ops. beautiful night. Pulled out and did a 10 mph rolling hole shot with a power shift into #2 and it was nothing short of spectacular... ws

It was on the next day!

CALLING ALL CHICAGO AREA GUYS... be on the look out for some 64 sheet metal parts for the BADLASS. I need to section in the rear valance (below the trunk lid and above the bumper with some new steel. Itll take a month of dickin' around to try and get this straight otherwise. That, and the last foot or so of the passenger side rear quarter panel. Gramma mustve backed into the barn in the 70s. Thanks, ws.

Got the new hosenputer ready for launch control. The old POS lost the graphics card and the windows OS crapped out. Its going to the pistol range later for practice with the new Ruger SP101 Ha! This new "thing" has about 4X the whammadyne producing gigiturd things the other one had and Achmed the house call computer guy installed and booted the whole deal up for 250.00. That included 2 house calls PLUS a bunch of other chinatronics' fixes. KRIPES!

Changed out the old horn relay as per Lukes instructions, and Mikes Sahweet horns. The BADLASS will now make trains give right-of-way! Thanks guys... Ive slowed down a bit with company last week and a techno stall here, but Im ready to get the game back on!

    z7.jpg

Had a edog guy separate his "bundle" and bought a substantial package for 275.00. Trim, valance panel cover, two shiny tail lights and a bag-o-smalls... Should dress up the BADLASS's booty just fine for the prom next spring.

Did the big Cool City Classics this year with both cars. The CROOKED city manger (not manager!) decided to hook on a $5.00 "donation" fee to park towards the front of the run, be the first 500 or so cars moving, AND have the priviledge to park on the main street with all the chinabillet junk. I can see this tradition fading into the past (19th year this year), and falling to pieces. GREEDY BASTARD. Ive spoke with this guy 1 on 1 about other issues and got the talk outa the side of the mouth drill. Reminds me of Joe Biden. A cheese dick with a smile. Grrrr!!

Check out the gas filler location on the 57 Olds... almost as secret as a 57 Chevy.

Still had some nice iron show up tho. Maybe next year we'll all boycott the parade and just hold our own. ws

That's definitely a good score on the trim! I recently paid $160 for just a pair of 63 taillights and I thought I got a good deal.

Just thinking of you Luke! That guy would take up a double stall! HR turned out well also!

So me an Pat had to take a spin to Achmed's for a HDMI cable for better screen rez, and off to the store for potato salad fixins' to augment the BBQ ribs tonight. Put 40.00 worth of booze free fuel in the ol' boy and then saw this gem. Guessing a '40?

So buffalos are living proof that the injuns, ah, never mind. Living proof that a BBB can be built that dont leak. Wait a second, I changed the oil and forgot to refill it. NOT! This is the 430/early 455 head oil line plug conversion that paid off on the BADLASS. The rest is done with smoke and mirrors... ws

Heck of a buy at $275. You usually can't score all those pieces that are halfway decent for less than $700!

Hey Mike... the Heeb in me tried to knock him down to 200.00, but all of a sudden he sounded much "wiser". Had the whole set on ebay starting at 450.00 with a BIN price of 700.00. It ended and I asked him to separate the pile into what I needed. He wanted 300.00. The stuff is due here today (I hope!) and just hoping it looks as good in hand as in the pics! He has the rest on edog right now if I understand correctly... Said his grandfather in law was collecting the stuff as spares since about 1970 or so for his ride back then. Even if the stuff was stored since '80 it should be "decent". The small white paper towel (lower right) has a bunch of hardware, brackets and that elusive 1964 antenna nut and chrome teardrop. Even selling what Ive got should put a dent in the $$$.
Pics tonight if the moon and stars and USPS delivery all align ... ws

Just in case theres any other needed stuff...
