i scored an oem shroud for $90 w hook on eBay believe it or not. It’s in awesome shape. It was partially painted and I’m currently removing. Was it painted from factory? Thanks

It was Raw plastic, if that's a 70 shroud which it appears to be you scored BIG TIME

Cool, it’s cleaning up nicely w a scotch pad and brake parts cleaner. Stamped 1233000. 2 shrouds popped up on Tuesday exact same for same price and I bid on both but only won one of them. Thanks,

Are GS and Riviera shrouds ('72 to be specific) different?

70 had unique 455 shroud for A body. 71 all 455 used a one year only shroud for all cars. 72 used one 455 shroud for all 455. Only real difference between 71 and 72 shroud is 72 has a small hole in top for hose strap. They do carry a different part number because of the hole. They are otherwise interchangeable between 71-72 but not 70.

That shroud you got is correct number for 70 GS455. That is a big time score.

That is a bigly huuuuge score! I have a mint extra one that was thinking about selling. It will not leave my place for anything less than 1K.
Scotch pad? I wouldn't. You want to leave the original sheen on it. Paint stripper will not hurt the plastic... I've done it.

Shroud finished and installed. I think it turned out pretty nice. I wound up using my original hook since the one that came with it was about an in longer ( see last picture ). Anyone know why this one is longer? Since I had it apart cleaned up fan too.
