I know some of ya'll have more than BUICK interest so I am posting this to you guys. (everyone else can just move on if you don't want to be bothered by O/T subjects).
Picked up this 1962 PRO STREET Corvette from an estate sale, (hubby passed away) and this car flat out SCREEEEEMS!

Research this past 2 weeks have unveiled to me the following details, which were performed by the late husband, with over $72K in receipts in the past 4 years.
The car was originally a STRIP car, a Big inch block powered it into high 10's time slips somewhere in CT. The late owner bought it from CT seller, shipped it to Tampa Bay area and proceeded to 'tame it down' to a streetable Vette. Sold the BIG INCH 540? block and built a new (427) 434 Aluminum DART race prepped 10:1 block, Edelbrock Victor JR 64CC aluminum heads, (runs SWEETLY ON 93 PUMP GAS!) CUSTOM GROUND "Howards" hydraulic 'Small base circle" lift: .530/.515, Duration @.050 243/251, centerline 103 o/c, Big Daddy roller cam, Holley SNIPER EFI Quadrajet fuel injection setup, A&N fuel line fittings, braided 1/2" lines, VHS digital gauges, ART CARR T350 transmission with 2800 stahl that doesn't skip a beat, Ford 9" Velacki coil over 4 link 4:56 Eaton posi, 4 wheels disc brakes, Line lok, mini tubbed to 12" x 30" Street cheater slicks, Aluminum wheels, total Chris Allison rack & pinion front suspension setup, 3" aluminum exhaust system and I'm sure there is much more I missed. It has been a local trophy winner at Dupont Registry Car show, Trophy or two from Quaker Steak & lube, and a "best of show" at Veterans Day VA Memorial Classic Car show, plus much more!
Whicked quick like a rocket and straight at 2910lbs ...of course less the matching hardtop, which is not shown but IS included in the deal.

Take a look at the pix. I will have more details and pix to share very soon. The car is in an Classic Automotive Showroom warehouse at this time in Tampa Bay.

PRICE: I am offering it $59,900.

Sadly I don't have any nailhead only a 430. I made the name when I was getting a 63 Riviera with a 425 but got taken for my hefty down payment. Long story and it I don't look at the 1st gen Riviera like I usted to because it left a bad taste in my mouth. The name stuck maybe because it seems like I have a nail in my head lol.
But one day a convertible Electra, hot rod or who knows with a nailhead would be real nice. But again, nice ride.

Joe, there are signs of a previous roll cage, so Im guess'n there WAS one when the car sported a BIG INCHER... IIRC from a long time ago, NHRA rules would allow a Vert 1/4 mile pass and if you pulled under 11:00 you would be required to not come back until a cage/belts/safety measures were installed. That rule may be 11:99 now??? Nevertheless, and I am only guess'n, but, this 434 aluminum block, 565HP and 2900lb car would prolly still go thru the traps low to mid 11 ET's. I just don't think I have the hudspaah's anymore to see how close I'd be to that guess....
