I noticed that too. I have seen some that appear to have been modified perhaps by the factory but not like this one. Does the partial VIN on the BB trans match the car?
Jim, that's my thought as well. We're most likely looking at a "shop mod" as opposed to a factory "whoops". More confusion, I'm not sure that's the car being sold or someone posting as an example of what it should look like...
My question exactly. Is the recent pic of the Ts stamp an example, OR the stamp on the pad of the car on Ebay? I should have been more clear when I asked if anyone had seen the TS stamp on the car for sale. Thanks, Mike
It’s an example. My car. VIN on the same block matches the VIN tag which matches the original window sticker which shows it as a Stage 1.
I wholeheartedly believe it is a true, numbers matching Stage 1 car, ( but, but, but) the bidding driving it up to astronomical $19k+ for a back window channel rusted thru, trunk rusted thru, needs re-covered seats, missing Dist, valve covers, manifolds, wires, etc. and I bet it smells like its been wet and hot from years of sitting outside, not to mention 2 guys responsible for over 66 bids indicates tom-foolery. Its a $15k car all day long! I sa it will be seen again real soon.
Completely agree. I would be ecstatic to own the car at $15K. I would probably still buy it at $20K knowing I slightly overpaid, but it’s probably not a car I would want to move on from. If you are going to flip a car (something I have no problem with), and use the owners story, name, and image to drive value, don’t shill out the bidding.
So what's it gonna top out at ..... I say it goes back on eBay in a couple of days with a buy it now price seller saying winner didn't pay.
I would damn sure have to see it in person and make sure all the codes were there and also look legit. Not that hard to take a pic of trans VIN. Same with the TS code. It is overpriced right now as it is represented.
I prefer a car like this vs something repainted and restored, $21 for a real stage one is appealing to me.
You won't be making no money on that at that price un less you do the work yourself. Too bad it wasn't garage kept.
I say it didn't sell Fake bids I'm with Frank on this one unless this is someone's dream car. If it was a four speed and the distributor was there and no rust issues
If you have no problem getting a flip job. There’s nothing wrong with shill bidding to bring up the numbers if it works. Can always try again and rope someone in w a shill. Buyer beware.
