    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

So I read another thread and have heard a bit about some problems with NOS 70-72 GS Skylark front fenders but never really put any thought in it.... until today. My hood has always sat up a bit maybe an 1/8 inch +/- compared to the top of the fenders.... basically if you look close from the side it looks like the good is not closed all the way even when it is. I stole this first pic from another thread and looks like a pic from Larry...
My passenger fender has about a 5/16 gap and can't fit my finger in. The driver fender has a slightly bigger gap almost a 1/2 inch and can barely fit my finger in...
Why is there such a difference in fenders, do i have NOS fenders from a previous restoration?
Where can i find the part numbers?
Any ideas on how to fix the hood alignment?

Forgot to mention its a fiberglass hood which could be a problem as well.

    Thanks for any input.

    436'd Skylark Sweet Fancy Moses!!!!!

The fix is not hard. However it'll require repainting the fenders. All you have to do is drill the spot welds out, move that brace where it is supposed to be and reweld. Reinstall and go racing.
