I can get an NOS disc brake master cylinder for my 1969 Rviera / Wildcat for $40 plus shipping. My questions are as follows:

    1) Is the same thing available at any auto parts stores?

    2) If so, are there any visible differences that would make it technically incorrect?

    3) Is a 35-year old master cylinder that has been stored fairly well just gonna be a POS that is more hassle to deal with than its worth?

    4) Am I better off just rebuilding what I've got?

Thanks in advance for any advice -- i got no idea.

a m/c that old would make me want to replace the rubber cups on the plunger shaft . ther could be rust inside . u will need to dismantle the unit before using it , for sure .
