STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

Grrrrrr! Just walked by the car and the damn hornets are inside my interior fixing them up a nice little home so they can light my a$$ up when I go digging through my boxes in there!
All my a/c stuff is off & I thought I had the duct blocked but obviously not so I just need any condition (don’t haffta be purrtee)non a/c cover to keep these suckers outta my driveway ornament!
    Thanks! : )

As a further note, I am not going to even attempt to get this a/c going as slow as I am on everything else so I could use any salvageable (ie no NO$) 1970 non a/c parts (?brackets, pullies,y’all know the list better than I do) .
    Going with what I have already 1970 Stage 1 specs,M-21, 3:64 and NO time & $ robbing a/c.
Appreciate it and as always I have more time than money so if it is correct(1970 non a/c) and can be wire wheeled, painted & look “decent” & function, I am a happy camper : )

I have an original heater exterior box if that is what you need or are you trying to get one of those aftermarket boxes that converts an A/C car to heater?

I can't help you, but thanks for the good laugh from your first post on this thread....I know the feeling. Or, of when mice are jumping out of the boxes as I rummage through them looking for parts in the back garage......

Would be nice to have at least a working heater and easier to put in with whole front clip off but my original thoughts were blocking off the insect access to my interior.
Looks like there is gonna be more to this additional project of course than I originally expected.
I looked up the kit like you mentioned with the cover, heater core etc for $74 but was a Chevelle application which I have zippo clue if it is close enough to work. Not dealing with anything remotely like a show car but I better shoot for ultimately having heat

Lol I hear ya. My FAVORITE one was when I was in my non running factory 4 speed 64 Wildcat. No one is around watching so I am mowing through the gears with the shift plate off imagining blasting down the road like a veteran gear jammer with a smile on my face when I caught a glimpse of something (thought it was a freakin snake!) and before I knew it a mouse (obviously dodging all the levers and such I was throwing) bounced UP and OUT of the console ONTO my hand, then my leg, to the floorboard & under my seat to the backseat & then I heard him in the trunk! LMAO
THAT ONE got me a lil bit! Lol

The 68 - 72 A cars have a different firewall opening for heater only versus Air conditioning. There are several aftermarket companies that produced a cover to "convert" an AC firewall to non AC. American Graffiti is what comes to mind first, they may have been first to come up with the animal. The metal "non" AC cover will not cover the AC firewall opening completely, and the hornets will still be able to enter.

I just pulled my 72 skylark heat only setup. It’s perfect, no rust or rot. Going vintage air. Will get pics if you are interested. It’s controller, cables, firewall cover, blower motor, maybe even defrost ducts.

Not trying to hijack the sale but if it comes down to it I have a non ac cover too, don't want a lot even have a rusty one for shipping only but as been said the non ac cover wont cover the opening without some metal work. Why not just fab. a temp cover ? I also have a full ac cover too I'd let go if you need it.

    Fritz,
I think the non AC and AC firewalls have different holes cut into them.

I do not believe you can mix & match the ac vs non-ac parts and cover the holes.

You might want to look into that.

This is the aftermarket cover first made by American Graffiti. Covers AC opening if one is using just the heater.
This one is by the vender familiar to many here.

The firewalls are different. If you still haven’t found the non-AC box,I have some. I have been hoarding all of them with plans to convert every car I find into a real car. I might still have some non-AC firewall sections, but I don’t have the vent tubes that are spot-welded in behind the dash.
