in my 64 riviera when i take off i hear a knocking noise it is in the driveshaft area. it will only do it if there if there is torque going to the rearend. sounds like a ujoint going out by like to hear your thoughts. also this has the hog nose posi in it but what are the rearends called. it is going to be a pain to remove the driveshaft from the car because of the frame being a X and the driveshaft goes through the frame any tips?
Possible cv or u-joints. Sounds more like carrier brg. though. Shouldn't be to bad to remove. Unbolt at carrier, unhook at rear end and pull er back. :TU:
