I am sure your convertible took out everyone it encountered even being weighed down with lots of options:Brow:

Still looking for a true factory low option stripper Big Block 70 GS.

    Thanks

You should have seen their faces when I ran up the power windows, haha. They all thought I had nitrous hidden somewhere. The top shelf cars' owners all knew what a Stage 1 was, but had never run one before. Those that hadn't heard of the Stage 1 didn't know what had hit them. I am glad that 40 years of technology is finally coming to fruit, with a whole spate of stock cars that will smoke it. The Grand Nationals have had to carry the musclecar banner for America alone for too long....
It's kind of ironic that stripper '66 GS's are fairly common (as if any of these are really common), but it's hard to find a Stage 1 without options. Good luck in your search.

I know where a triple black 70 Stage zero option car sits. Needs restoration. But the exhaust manifolds arent correct so I'm sure you wouldnt be interested. :bglasses:

Cars like this DO exist. I looked at one in the 80's with Mike Modena. I remember the car vividly. Sherwood green GS455 with zero options. Base interior, no A/C....nothing. It was driven by it's original female owner. She was prob in her late 50's and worked at a church. We actually checked it out in the church parking lot. Even only 15 or so years old, the car was really beat.

Mike turned the car down because it was such a stripper:Dou: I didnt want it because I already had too many. I forget the price she was asking but it was around 800-1000. We both thought it was too much. Mike spoke to her. I was afraid to step foot in the church and get hit with a lightning bolt.

    Never saw the car again.

You are right Jason, there are probably a some of these out there. Of course, if anyone finds one, the price will probably double since they will see how hard it has been for Rich to find one.

Jim are you trying to start something? Offering up a glimpse of my dream car? Only thing better is a 4 spd. Is this a snipe hunt in disguise
