yeah, they call their cars "Donks", "Boxes" or "Bubbles" depending on which body style they're doing it to so you'll see a bunch of forms of "Donk... something or other" painted on the car. there was one a while back that said "Donkey Kong".

Saw that thing at SEMA in '07. I doubt you can actually drive around with plexiglass wheels, any stress from cornering and the wheel could just shatter.

There is some art to that, IMHO.

 

The wheels are actually polycarbonate, and allegedly quite stout.

What a b.s. those Donk cars are. A Pro Tourer might get better road handling with a bit bigger wheels, but those things are so stupid. Not even cool. Just ridiculous. Strange, that some guys do not have the slightest hint of taste.

I see some of these donked out rigs and the body and paint are so incredible. I mean, the quality of the work. It's too bad talent and taste aren't always in the same build.

Now, if somebody did the needed frame and body mods to run 30" rims tucked under the car with a regular stance, that might be really mean and nasty looking. Like a full scale HotWheels car. Maybe a new version of Pro Street?
