Well inclined to believe the urination elimination method although never heard of it however I got trapped in the shed during real heavy rains and ended up having to use my stainless steel wash bucket, I wanted it out of shed b4 got knocked over but rain was even worse so just dumped it right outside the door figuring the rain would clear it away.
Watched some TV had some snacks that the mice ALWAYS get if I forget to put up.
Went out a few days later and saw I had left some snacks on the work bench “ during break in rain “well that has definitely been destroyed” I figured.
Totally still sealed with zero chew marks and zero pellets everywhere!
I recalled seeing the mice “coming home” right where I dumped the pail in small grass strip by door, haven’t seen a mouse or clues in over a month and my man cave doesn’t smell like a porta-john (NOT peeing inside the man cave)

Now if I can just get rid of the trillions of moles that have tunneled ALL over our acreage since we have lived here! Gonna break an ankle in one of those some day sinking into one of the compromised & previous terra firma!

I don't like the poison because, if a cat eats the sick mouse, then the cat is sick as well. Been there.

We have many owls and hawks here. One big girl sits on my barn roof. Would not want to hurt them with poison.

For moles my grandad would put a broken bottle in the holes. If a mole nicks itself it will bleed out

Wife has raised earth boxes for her vegetable garden. About 5 x 3 x 1. Dumped it out replant this fall (yeah, we do it backwards in sunny South Fla) and a 4-ft snake slithered out of the pile and hustled away.
Anyway, she refilled it, replanted it, covered it with plastic to deter weeds. Next day there was a 1" hole in the plastic and ana a burrow beneath it. Guess the dude needs to live somewhere, and he probably keeps the mice and bugs under control. Go snake!

The iguanas, however, are not as fortunate. They mess with the garden, attack orchids, and eat flowers / buds off bushes. Bought her a nice air rifle. Problem solved. 20181225_165848.jpg

If interested, the most effective mouse trap ever. Five gallon bucket, drill small hole at same level a couple inches down from the rim for a pass through rod like coat hanger, drill a empty pill bottle or other similar unit. Keep size of drill holes about 1/16” or less than the size of the rod to keep rolling action smooth. Then slide rod through bucket and bottle to create a roller. Fill bucket with a few inches of water, lightly coat roller with peanut butter, and a fix a paint stick or other piece of wood as a ramp to deaths edge. If you have mice, you will just need to grab dead tails with pliers and pullout of the water and after a few days, no more mice.

I haven’t had mice in years since I’ve been using this but I keep the trap fresh and deployed in case a new immigrant decides my garage is home.

In Ohio, I got rid of my moles by using Grubex to get rid of the grubs. I don't know if you have grubs down there, but the moles have to eat something!
