No lift no problem mon!

    Along my work route today I went to a shady place. A place out on the outskirts of town on a dirt road were people live in tents, broke RV's and shot gun shells were everywhere on the floor.
    I seen this thing they did to work on there car like a pit. Check it out, poorly executed but a good idea if executed with safety in mind.

    Looks like it hasn't been used for quite a while, at least I hope so. Wood is dry, and the slats look like they never were tied together??
    The pit is full of garbage but it's so small that I wonder if it ever was made for working on cars? Maby a trailer stand and the pit was the "plumbing'??:eek:
    When I was young at 16 and working on my cars I had to improvise just like probably most of us.. Using a factory jack and a piece of wood for a jack stand etc..
    I never ever did use the red metal spot welded car ramps though, and I remember lowering my 73 Riv on those cheap flat steel jack stands that had the pin that you put through the hole and watching them flatten as I was lowering the car..
