    Sweet!

Soda Blasting...mmmm How are the fronts (meaning the front of the wheel)? Maybe we could remove all the paint and start fresh? I would be willing to paint if you could blast the old paint away. Just a thought. I'd be willing to pay for any extra expenses of course. How is the chrome? Much pitting (I expect some).

Your looking after me Bruce....I appreciate it. Boy, am I going to have a long list pf people to visit during my next trip. I hope a lot of you are going to be at the BPG Nats in August 2004. I'm sure going to try to get there.

hmmm. bill, did you buy bruce's wheels too? yes i received your funds, am waiting for paypal to transfer to my checking account. i asked about getting the wheels to you sooner and the shipping guy said you could get them in about 10 days but the cost would effectively be double per wheel! i dont think you want to spend $700 on wheels just to save a few weeks waiting. :Do No: paypal says 3 to 4 business days for funds transfer so probably monday i will take them over to the shipper and email you with the details. MAN, you car guys are sure impatient!

No problems Rob. Not impatient on the wheels just wanted to know that you where notified about getting the funds. Yes, I bought Bruce's wheels as well. Two sets of wheels on their way down to me. So, what method of shipping is the $70 per wheel? Surface? Now that I know you have the funds I can relax.

plain old fashioned snail mail [USPS] should be about 4-6 weeks, same old story, same old song and dance. but like i said, faster would be a lot more money:gt:

That's fine Rob. Do it that way. USPS also has an air mail option normally (how much do they weigh packaged?) but in this care you're right. It'll probably be too expensive. By the way, In Australia we are used to paying 3 or 4 times more for things than our North American cousins - so it's nothing new.

Just so you (and others) know, 4-6 weeks is a marjeting myth (lie). In the real world it actually means 6 - 20 weeks but I'm not in any real hurry so surface (slow boat via china) is ok. Let me know when they have been dispatched.

hey, i live in montana, we are not particularly on the fast track for getting things shipped to or from either:ball: . i have to send off to japan for my motorcycle stuff as the local dealer never has anything in stock, and i sometimes think they send the parts via seagull all the way from tokyo :gt:

bill, sent the wheels off today:TU: . you should be seeing them some time in the next year:laugh:. basically, you are getting 5 packages, one wheel each. i included some of the local papers and an auto trader for your enjoyment. now you will be able to brag about the wheels you had to send all the way to the wilds of montana for :beer . rob

Bill, I have what you need! I have 5 inch BC wheels 7 inches wide for the back of your DUCE and a Quarter. It's what i run on the back of my 66 'cats. That way i can run 275-60-15's.You have to run a custom spacer but i can tell you where to get ones strong enough for drag racing.I have some really nice ones. These are what you need!!!! Peace WildBill

Thanks John, you like 'em too eh? The feelings are pretty much the same all round. The rallyes suit the Electra. I'd seen the Wildcats wearing them and they looked great so I figured that they would probably look ok on the Electra as well. I didn't know you bought a Wildcat. I've got to pay closer attention.

Bill, I have just priced widening my rim to 15x7 (15x8 is $5 more) and I'm interested in the cost of your two 7 inch wheels as a comparison. I already know how much shipping is ($50-55 per wheel - surface). Spacers are unfortunately highly illegal around here so I'd have to work on getting the correct back-spacing. Wouldn't I need to run longer studs as well?

I figure I need an extra inch for the fronts (they actually rub the chassis on tight turning). The rears can stay as they are but can come out wider. I'd guess I can add up to 2 inches under there. It's a noce day, I'll go out and take some pictures (I love my digital camera) so you can see what I see. Back in a few minutes...

Hey I need those wheels! Are they modified or what? I had already concluded the 275-60-15 tires are the way to go. I plan on getting some redline radials to go on my Mod 65 Black Wildcat.

Bill S. Your Electra Rules. Nuff said!

    65 and 66 wheels are 6"? Help,

Thanks Ted. It feels good to get praise (about my car) from people who own such cars as 8 barrel 4 speed Positraction 425 Wildcats.

Both of these wheels are 15x6 with a pair of M4 7's (KW?) and a pair of M4 6's (JJ?) which I believe means they are from 1966 and 1967. Or does it mean they are from '76 and '77? I'm not sure. Can anyone decipher the JJ, KW codes?
