What do you mean paint the wheels the right color? You mean the black part?

Yes, it should be dark grey on a ‘65.

and wrong hose clamps, battery cable, radiator cap, not factory a/c. and these dealers will advertise cars with bogus info and stats.

Charcoal gray is correct. I noticed the AC compressor on the engine and no center vent.

its a vintage air under dash add on, and those rims appear to be the 15" chrome rallys

    Now it's Mine Bruce!!

You dont see many Skylark GS's with the Gray wheels anymore. They're usually swapped for the 15" Black painted wheels.

The guy could also spring for some Red Fat Bird wheel caps.

It is hard to find the proper boot for the shifter as well. I dig a 3 speed, that is exactly what I wanted.
Nice car. After having several shops work on mine my question is always the same it seems. They do so much good work and then disappoint on relatively small details.

They said to me " This is not the car for you unless your willing to spend 60K " . So it's not the car for me . The question then also becomes how in the world can you spend $150K to restore this car and miss details ?
