WOOHOO!!!!:bglasses: Got to go to the Chargers game today - what a blast!!!:TU: :TU: Nothing like actually being there!! My sister and I went down from Del Mar, where she's living now, down to IKEA, which is right near Qualcomm Stadium. I had heard that today was the last regular season game there for the Chargers. Anyways...we drove close by the stadium, looking for the IKEA, when we passed a guy selling tickets for the game on one of the corners. We were both curious how much he wanted, so I swung back around and we asked him how much. He said FACE VALUE - $59 each!! On top of that, the tickets we got were on the field level on the 50 yd. line!!! I've NEVER had seats that good!!:TU: We even got the guys name and number, because he said he could get Super Bowl tickets!! Apparently, this guy is 'the man' for getting any kind of tickets (that's his nickname - 'ticketman'). He drives down from LA to sell tickets, along with his 'associates'. He was heading right back up for the Lakers/Raptors game. It's funny...when I saw the Bills and Dolphins play back when I was a teen, we ended up in the corner of the end zone - several rows up. The field looked big...and the players looked small! Today was totally the opposite! Couldn't believe how small the field looked and how quick the game went!! I guess being that close to all the action helped!:Brow: I'm no Chargers fan (or the Seahawks, whom they played), but it sure was fun!!! It's neat how the home crowd gets into each play!! My sister snuck her little dog in...she was a hit with everyone around us!!!:grin: One of the guys behind us, was heckling one of the Seattle guys - even hollared out "send in the pooch, she could have gotten to the ball faster than that"!!:laugh: The Chargers played well for about 3.5 quarters!!ou: They were ahead 20-7; then it was 28-14 - so far...so good. Next thing you know, in the 4th qtr. Seattle gets into the endzone - make it 28-21. Things went back and forth for a while...but Seattle ended up scoring again to tie it up!! (More heckling for Mike Holmgren for not going for the win)!!!:grin: In overtime, the 'bolts sputtered and the Seahawks came away with the win!! Oh well....it was still a really good time!!:TU:
