I used to be on the site a few years ago. I went by the name "Gelcoat", but life happened and the car has sat.
Now for a long story, but it's a good read. In 1978, my widowed Grandmother met a gentleman named Fred. He fell in love with her almost immediately. I met Fred when he rolled up in a '68 GS350. Original owner, built in Fremont (CA car). I fell in love with the guy right there, too!
Fred and Grandma got married and they went to Georgia. Fred died of cancer soon thereafter and the car went to my father. Dad used is as a daily driver until he had a stroke in 1997. I got the GS after that and we drove it for awhile. Kids and a minivan came along-you know the story, the car sat.
We're empty nesters now, and I'm in a position to do the car up right. I replaced the vinyl top and painted the car. The ST300 went to the recycler and a TH350 is in it now. It's time for a new engine and trans, and I'm making decisions such as 200R4? maybe. The car wasn't a full on killer, just a reliable and powerful, comfortable car. I hope to keep it that way. It has a Comp cam in a '70 350 engine, headers, 2-1/2" exhaust. I'd like to hear from anyone in California, as it seems all the other Buicks went to the Mid-West.
    Thanks for having me, Jimbotron
