I am building a 65 401 for a '37 Buick coupe. I have a small thread on HAMB with same user name if you want to see the pics.

I am putting .030 over 10:25:1 forged Ross racing pistons in and a TA 30 cam with Stage #1 springs. I am putting Hilborn EFI fuel injection on it using the Holley HP ECU. I am using TA roller rockers. Stock crank and connecting rods. An MSD ready to run distributor is the best available for the Hilborn system (according to Hilborn). I up sized the cam on Hilborn's advice as they claim their system really smooths out pulses of hotter cam. I will be running a T-56 magnum 6 speed.

What work should I do to the heads? Match the intake ports and leave it? I am leaving stock valve seats alone as common advice is to avoid hardened seats. I am looking for decent performance and reliability with the ability to drive it on the street with no headaches. I went to stainless valves but stock size. Pic is of Hilborn system on another car.

    Hi.. Cool projekt..

Some time ago, a guy from Polen? Made a series of head porting on the nailhead.. If I recall correct, he posted in the nailhead sections, where he linked to his youtube videos..

It's not a issue to be concerned with even If the runner exit from the Manifold is 1/16" smaller then the port in the head!

My 425 was built by Tom Telesco after the first rebuilder made a mess of it. Tom does great work. I also have his mini-starter which I love. In my case I had plenty of starter clearance, but I hate unnecessary weight, and when I found out about Tom's starters, it was a no-brainer.
