So I resisted posting about the car until it was actually in my driveway. While I was out of town on vacation last week it finally showed up and I had to get relatives to get it off the transport. Purchased this Sun Coupe from Boise Idaho sight unseen(by myself) Thanks to Mike Sobotka for checking it out for me. She now sits in my garage and now the fun and enjoyment begins. It's has 94K miles, 350 2 barrel and will need somethings and repairs so that I know what's what with all systems. Plan on going getting new tires, brakes, full tune-up(including electronic type ignition), change all belts/hoses, and all fluids. I'm not looking for a trailer queen. I want to drive and enjoy it as the previous owner did. I'll need plenty of assistance and will ask plenty of questions. Especially from you Sun Coupe owners.

For now I do know I will need new or good used front door panels, a suspension overhaul kit(bushing worn), steering box has a lot of slack, and A/C has no Freon in it.

    Finally you have your car!
now is the time to dump off all that old and crusty stuff you have accumlated for the 66's.
I'll be glad to help you haul off the stuff for free and then you'll have lots of room in your garage.
I've got one more operation, and if things go well I'll be down with a trailer to start hauling off the 66 stuff.
Any, I'm really happy for you.
Next time you find yourself over here stop by.
There really are some great and helpful guys on this site.

Thanks Gary. I'm keeping my 66GS and all it's parts I think I may need eventually. But yes I will be downsizing a few parts cars(wife's rule for me getting the Sun Coupe). And the 65 Airstream Caravel(camper) that's taking up space in the shop. I have ALOT of shop to clean up. And now I want a two post shop lift. So out with some things and in with others. Soon as I get this beauty tuned up and riding on new tires and brakes I'll take a trip to Covington. They still having the local get together? And Cruisin the Coast is fast approaching. Want my whole list of known issues and wants done by then(hopefully). Saw you post about John Kemper. I was looking forward to meeting him and getting his assistance with my project. We have lost a great Buick brother....

    See you soon
