Sgt.....I'm still spinning from the last one. I will say, the few hoodies that were made are pretty cool. I should have thought of them earlier.

my wildcat riviera tshirts, longsleeves & sweatshirt (all size M) are for sale on ebay. just look for member "metabaron65". they will be shipped from germany. decided to sell them because my engine has not the right cui. after cleaning the powerplant from the thick paint the engine code shows a "LT" which means 401cui:mad: . so even the official german papers are wrong:rant: . car is sold ... presumably at the end of this week.

That doesn't mean you have to sell the shirts! And what's wrong with a 401?

if i would wear the shirt although having the wrong engine or no riviera anymore i would feel like a liar because i pretend something which is not true. and that is something i never did, do and will never do in the future. hopefully car will be sold ... i am fed up with more restoration than driving and i feel deeply betrayed by the seller and the german TV. they "created" (through bribing???) official papers which are even not worth the ink. the 401 is fine and can be better over-bored ... but no reason for me to keep it.

    NimRod,
I would just wear the shirts for the "Cool Factor" You would not be a "POSER" and I hope that you will continue to use this board...You never know when the next Buick will come in to your life! I feel bad that the car was not what you had hoped it would be but you just never know when that BUICK BUG will hit you again! You will be ready for it with the Shirts that are the extra  COOL  factor! No matter what your still a W.O.T. We need to have a international members and you could be the PoohBah for us W.O.T.'s in Germany. :TU: Maybe Rick would let you be the "GRAND POOBAH" in Germany

I never got the impression that the TÜV people know a thing or two about American cars.

On several occasions I helped out German American car owners to proof the TÜV that they had their facts wrong.

And now you are free to legally put a 425 in your Riviera, (TÜV says it's a 425 right, so it's not an offence when you replace the 401 for a 425) but the shirt still will be wrong if it isn't a Dual Quad....:Smarty:

Dirk, Does the ENGINE VIN match the car VIN?
There have been several cases of the engines being mis-stamped with the wrong 2-letter engine code. So if the VIN's match, it may be the correct original engine! ....but with a 'factory-error' on the code stamping.
