New Super Wildcat WOT T-Shirts & Dual Quad Riviera Too!

    buickbonehead WOT Baby!

This is long but please read ALL of it….if you are interested in the shirts.

Ok WOT’s as you recall from our last official Wildcat Owner’s Team (aka WOT) meeting held poolside at the Hard Rock, Las Vegas, we approved a new WOT shirt to be commissioned. At the meeting (poolside), the floor did recognize Bobkmondo’s presentation and appeal for a WET T-shirt (Wildcat Electra Team). Although the presentation was inspiring, the merger of “Teams” will require further research.

Being the Grandpoobah of the “TEAM”, I have taken certain liberties in the designs selected for approval. In other words I couldn’t decide. Therefore, I have presented the possibilities in this thread.

All BS aside, several people have asked about both a new shirt and reprints of the old. I wanted to do a new shirt and to do something for the SUPER CAT. Then, I seemed to remember Buick may have made another car that had an extra CARB under the hood too….so what the hey. We’ll see how many Rivi’s can hang with the WOT.

It all started in this thread if you care to read it:

    White Shirts

    Then came the black shirts:

    Black Shirts

    Here go’s ‘07-’08 shirt.

Shirt #1 (I think my art guy likes Rivieras, why else would it be #1?) This shirt has the iconic 60’s Buick muscle Dual-Quad Air cleaner on the front. “R” on the back encircled by the brute statistics of the motor borrowed from Rivi’s big brother the Wildcat. Ha! The sleeve lets everyone know it is a SUPER WILDCAT caged under the hood. It looks really cool cruising with your arm hanging out the window. Available in short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

Shirt #2 Unfortunately, this shirt is on the cutting room floor. It is just like #3 but “4 Speed” was slipped into the red ring. Sorry guys, I guess the shirt is just as rare as the car.

Shirt #3 This shirt features the iconic 60’s Buick muscle Dual-Quad Air cleaner replacing the “O” in our WOT club logo. The back has the chrome Wildcat head encircled by the brute statistics of the Nailhead Super Cat. The sleeve lets everyone know it is a SUPER WILDCAT caged under the hood. It looks really cool cruising with your arm hanging out the window. Available in short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

Shirt #4 This shirt is the new red version of the first two runs. Available in short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

Shirt #5 The front of this shirt has the WOT logo with X2, indicating Wide Open Throttle times two. The art guy centered the entire image and it will be changed to center the Cat head and the X2 will be offset as if someone wrote it in. This image may be made a little smaller to make it fit. The back will have a large Dual-Quad air cleaner. The sleeve lets everyone know it is a SUPER WILDCAT caged under the hood. It looks really cool cruising with your arm hanging out the window. Available in short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

Shirt #6 is a reprint of the original WOT shirt. Black T-shirt; available in short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

Shirt #7 is a reprint of the second WOT. White T-shirt both short and long sleeve and a sweat shirt.

PRICING- As I have said in the previous runs, I am NOT in the TShirt biz, I am selling these very close to cost. I started all this because no one made a shirt for the WOT misfits and their beloved Wildcat. These will be on high quality all cotton shirts, just like the last two runs. Keep in mind these are 3 color shirts with front, back and sleeve prints.

Add $1 for each X over XL. In other words XXXL short sleeve would be $14.

    All short sleeves- $12.00
    All long sleeves- $15.00
    All sweat shirts- $18.00
All Riviera shirts are 2X above, hey you said it was a luxury car!…..just kidding….same price.

Shipping will be $5 for up to 3 shirts, more than 3 we’ll have to talk about. I will ship overseas but only after Christmas. I hate the Christmas rush at the post office. I can easily ship domestic at the self serve desk. If you REALLY NEED it shipped overseas before Christmas we can talk.

*****Please let me have some gravy on this by NOT buying shirts to run to ebay ********* I have put in a great deal of time on this and as many of you know shipping is a nightmare. Let me sell them on ebay.

-MY SHIRT GUY REQUIRES A MINIMUM RUN OF 50 SHIRTS PER DESIGN. THEREFORE ANY DESIGN THAT DOES NOT REACH 50 SHIRTS WILL NOT BE MADE. (SEE WHY I AM POSTING THE OPTIONS) I WILL PURCHASE 15 OF EACH DESIGN FOR MY USE AND EBAY BAIT. THAT LEAVES 35 PER DESIGN.

HOW IT WORKS- Post on this thread which shirt (1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7), which style SS (short sleeve), LS (Long sleeve) or SW (sweatshirt), and which size I think he can go up to 6xl. See pricing for sizes over XL. Again post on this thread, it is much easier for me to keep up with.

I will leave the “order period” open until December 2 and then submit the order on the following monday. He said it would take 1 week. Decoded that means 1.5 weeks. I will do everything in my power to get them shipped as soon as possible.

You don’t need to pay until the shirts are done. DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PAY. Everyone paid with a smile last time. It was really unbelievable. Please read the prior threads to see the comments on the quality and the timely shipping. I will not ship until I have payment. I will take paypal. Non-domestic paypal will be extra.

There have been a lot of T-shirts offered on the board lately, however I was way too pregnant with these to stop now….and when I say pregnant I mean like the gestation period of an elephant, way TOO long. The have been several WOT’s requesting the old designs, and hey I need another shirt.

    AND FINALLY

I realize it is quite possible that NONE of the shirts will make the minimum of 35 (50 total) of each design. If that happens, hey we got a good laugh and I now have more time to put the Wildcat back together.

    WOT on brother!

    Rick

    questions;
    1. who the hell is "Bobkmondo"?

    2. why are you crediting him with my idea?

    3. what do you mean, you "require further research"? you held the meeting at a fricking pool! there should have been a surfeit of prime examples for you to examine.

oh, uh yeah, i see your point. tell ya what, let's conduct the next set of clinical trials in Fla and all will be forgiven. we might just need a federal grant to get this done right. :beers2:

I was always wondering what WOT stood for, now I know. Very cool. Are you sure one or two of those Wildcat 4-speed shirts won't see production?????

Dang it! I hate it when I miss a meeting. I knew I should have bought a Crackberrry!

    Very nice, Senor Ricardo.

I trust the next tribute shirt will be for the 'most powerful Wildcat that is the rarest and does all this with only one carburetor'...:Brow:

I need 1 red, one white, and one black, all 4XL, and one red XL. (#7,6 and 4)

Dude, you've outdone yourself! These look AWESOME!:TU: :TU: :beers2: :beers2:

    My order:
    #3 long sleeve, Large $15
    #4 long sleeve, Large $15
    #4 short sleeve, Large $12
    #5 Sweat shirt, XLarge $18
    S/H....let me know!

BTW, #6 and #7 color descriptions or pics are switched... So is #6 black or white? and same question for #7.

    Comments:
-I assume 'x2' means dual carbs? but the casual observer would be clueless as to what that means. Maybe something like '2x4', '8bbl' or 'x8' would make more sense. I'd vote for '2x4'
-Using the air cleaner pic is super-cool, but looks a bit bare.... How about adding 'BUICK' in aluminum-colored block letters (like on the valve covers) either above or below the ac pic?
    - For NEXT years shirts, ya gotta work in the finned valve covers to the design.

    Nice job, and THANKS!!!:beers2:

    buickbonehead WOT Baby!

I'm there for ya! Now where can we get funding? :beers2:

Wkillgs -thanks for the heads up, I fixed the color screw up. I was kinda going for the simplistic look with the air cleaner. Maybe I should have tried to fit in a Buick somewhere. The WOTx2 was going for "Wide Open Throttle x2" or "Double Wide Open Throttle". I definately like the valve cover idea. You've already planted the seed. Now I have to sit on that idea until next year.:Brow: Too many ideas.

Austingta.....dude, you should have been there poolside, Bob K. MAndo was in rare form.

Thanks guys, maybe we'll get one or two of these done.

Hi, Rick, First observation, your previous shirts are definitely superbe, and after 30 stays in the washing machine, they still look as new ! :bglasses:

Now, I am one of these guys who do not own a Willdcat, and spent all his time explaining to the people asking what WOT means that the CENTURION is not that far from a Wild, and I just had to change the rear fenders of my 71 convertible to turn it into a Wildcat. You should understand how my life became a nightmare because of your @$%+! T-shirts :)

No chance that you can develop one T-shirt with the Centurion Helmet (same as you did with the "(R)" of Riviera), but keep the WOT design and wording that became a real brand ? :Smarty:
