New member here, but a Buick owner for a few years now. Here is my 67 Skylark that has been in the family since 67. On my mother's side of the family my great grandfather bought it in 1967 brand new, great grandfather passed, grandfather took it, grandfather passed. I'm the next car guy in the family and everybody decided it'd be most appropriate and best to hand it down to me. I'm in the process of restoring it as it sat for a few years just before my grandfather passed. It don't need too much now as I made a ton of progress and she is fixed up and has cleaned up pretty good, just needs floor pans and some minor other little easy things. I'm Doug, 24 years old. Likes comments shares welcomed. I am from CT state so anybody from Connecticut or surrounding states, hit me up. Even if not, I'm looking to make more new Buick friends. Buick for the win. By the way this is a 1967 Buick Skylark base model non GS. 300 cu in V8 for powerplant. Attached here are some before after pics of when I got it Day 1 to now.

Welcome from NY. I bought a 67 GS new back in the day. It went back during the gas crisis as it loved gas and was pretty much used up at that point. Have another one now. Good luck with your family hierloom.

Question, would I be able to join the Northeast GS/GN club with a base model Skylark? Mine is not a GS, and obviously not a GN.

I personally dont know of any Buick clubs in the area. I know there are Street Rod clubs, but I never looked into them. There are few Buick guys in CT, maybe they know of a club.

    Hi Doug,
Welcome to the Buick world. My first car was a 67 GS 400 back in 1975. I have had plenty since then. Where in CT are you? I am 20 miles from Danbury in Westchester County, NY. As far as joining the Northeast GS/GN Club all you need is to have Buick in your blood! Any questions you can PM or my cell is (914) 447-6068

Hi I am from Naugatuck, CT and I'd be more than happy and willing to join, just dont expect my Buick on the track as I like to just show it around like my great grandfather and grandfather before me.

    Doug,
We have plenty of members that show their cars or even just go to cruises. Friday nights in Monroe usually has a few Buicks there at that cruise..

Welcome from western Canada! If I was ever to buy a Skylark again, it would be a 67; I think they were the prettiest ones made.

I agree with Marc. Of course I'm biased :) Doug, you did a good job shining up your Buick. I bet your arms were sore after all of that.
