New Main and Rod bearing damage?

I ordered a set of main and rod bearings from Egge for my Buick 340 rebuild. The bearings they sent me are old stock Ertel mains and Federal Mogul rods.

It looks like the mains were rubbing together in the packaging for 30 years and left alot of marking on the bearing faces and the rod bearings have some sort of discoloration or corrosion on them I can't clean off.

Has anyone run into a similar problem with old stock bearings? Is there anything that can be done? Just want to make sure I'm covering my bases before I call Egge.

    See attached pics of the bearings. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg

Tough to say judging from the pics.
The clearance attained when checking by either Plastigage or a professional measuring device (snap gauge and mic?)
would be telling whether they're usable or not.
Parts for older cars that aren't moved off the shelf fast (Buick parts) are prone to wear/damage from storage and moving around for YEARS:(
I say as long as the bearing surface is smooth and not gouged or distorted AND the clearance is correct once installed, I'd use 'em:D

You could probably stochbrite those and be fine, but I would send em back , get a full refund and order them up again from Summit racing.

I sent these pictures to Egge and they agreed to send me another set of bearings. Better to err on the safe side. Appreciate the feedback though, thanks!

Sending them back to Egge, was the correct thing to do.
